Always fancied the idea of turning Battersea into an NHL arena (why not? NFL is coming!), home of the London Bulldogs or something… now that would have been epic.

Not doubting his ability as a player, he can be cracking when he’s actually playing, but he always seems one tackle away from an injury. Undoubtedly should be on the plane, but I reckon the odds are he’ll be injured before the end of the season and miss the WC to be honest.

Don’t worry Benny, it was the same doctor at hand (he must be based at Anfield, is he on a retainer?) who managed to undislocate both Salah’s shoulders he dislocated after Livermore tugged on his shirt the other week. It used to be a magic-sponge, but now it seems to be a bewitched-whistle that causes these miraculous recoveries…. 🙂

Eddy… whilst a sensible compromise, I can just imagine the chaos if (when) somebody has to moderate NIL when he’s having one of his not-so-good days. I’ll pay to watch but I’m not volunteering! 🙂

Have to say though, I do like it, a bit more character than bog-standard shiny spaceships everybody else is building. Reminds of the Oriole’s baseball stadium, with all the retro vibe brickwork.

I dunno Paxo, not entirely disagreeing with your above comment, but part of me does feel like he is a big part of our little footballing community on here, a fellow “Bruvvah-In-Arms” against those idiots who like cricket, and a bit of constructive support might help him a bit.

As much as I’m not a fan of the little Gobshite, I would be very surprised if he followed the Cashley Cole route to be honest.
Lots of fish-wrapping nonsense about him going possibly going up Norff to Micky-Mouser country…. that I could see happening to be honest, certainly better than the odds of him going to the 2nd best team in West London.

Well, I certainly take great pleasure from the so-called Goonie demise, although I do think it’s a bit premature. My boys and I spent long enough in the banterish “forever in our shadow” jibes, and considering the financial advantage they’ve had for quite a few seasons since their shiny new spaceship landed, they should be streets ahead of us.
But they aren’t, that certainly isn’t disputable, and there is one man who’s door the blame should certainly be laid at. And whilst considering the wonga that man has trousered during that time, I think he can be fully expected to have the Micheal’s removed from him on a regular basis.
Anyways, I suspect after Saturday, it’s a “Wenger-In!” week on Goon Show TV!

From what I saw of the Goonie/Toffee game, both Micky and Boomerang looked decent and certainly gave the Goonies a different “looking” side. Next’s weeks NLD is going to be really interesting now!

Used to follow ruggers a lot more when I was playing, but since my playing days are over and there isn’t exactly a great deal of coverage here in Finland I’m really out of date!

Oh, and don’t ban NIL, I think we all know when he’s going on “one”, and although I can’t speak for Benji, I certainly wasn’t “offended”. Highly amused perhaps, but not offended.
I think we can all agree there is a problem of sorts there, but speaking from experience, isolating him isn’t going to help. If he needs to vent, let him vent. We’re all big boys here, personally speaking I can handle being called a “tit” on an internet forum once in a while!

My final say on the penalties in yesterdays game.
At the end of the day, they were no more penalties than the penalty Salah was “awarded” against WBA in the Cup, or the recent Hazard penalty against the Goonies (was that Prem or Cup, can’t remember!). No clear cut goal scoring opportunity was realistically denied in my opinion on all 4, yet the attacking player went down somewhat theatrically in all 4 cases. And while they keep being giving, attacking players are going to keep exaggerating, simples as dimples.
I mean, if a Spud player even touched Salah during his little dribble for his 2nd, we all know he would have gone down like a 10 dollar whore.
