I dunno Paxo, not entirely disagreeing with your above comment, but part of me does feel like he is a big part of our little footballing community on here, a fellow “Bruvvah-In-Arms” against those idiots who like cricket, and a bit of constructive support might help him a bit.

1) It shouldn’t be an insult to be called a “social worker”. Most social workers are fine. And the same can be said of tits.
2) We’re not going to completely agree on that penalty. A great game for the neutrals though. And in the end it’s just a game and this is just a forum. If you get that worked up about it, maybe it’s time to think things through on different kind of level.
3) Nil: Don’t drink. Alcohol isn’t helping you at all. Drugs, on the other hand… who knows? 😉

If the general consensus amongst the posters is that Nil should be allowed back, then I’m all for it, after a bit of time away from the site anyway. It’s a difficult one, though, as I know some have just had enough now of the nonsense. A potential solution may be to let him back but appoint another 2 or 3 moderators so as to ensure things aren’t allowed to escalate. Leave it with me for now!

Ed – I’d not call for a ban or exclusion of anyone on here etc – whatever you decide on I’ll go along with. I only post spasmodically anyway, I’m not a regular.
whilst he’s harmless and I don’t take any offence from him at all – I agree with my lilywhite friend Paxton that its just annoying and that it gets in the way of proper debate on here.
Its often like trying to have a conversation with someone whilst a third less stable person is having a dirty protest and flinging turds in all directions!

Eddy… whilst a sensible compromise, I can just imagine the chaos if (when) somebody has to moderate NIL when he’s having one of his not-so-good days. I’ll pay to watch but I’m not volunteering! 🙂

I haven’t thought that far ahead but I’m only suggesting having some moderators there to deal with obvious trolls or drunken rants, certainly not posts which they just don’t agree with.
Fair point though, it could just escalate the problem. I need to have a think about it. I don’t want to bring Nil back if it means losing other posters.

i dont think people will leave because of nil, my concern is people wont join. 442 started posting today and stated its because of the playground behaviour on teamtalk. if you log in here from 10pm any night (or when liverpool lose) thats exactly what you get from nil, most the time completely unprovoked.

As I’ve said before, I like NB, yes his passion gets the better of him sometimes, and the addition of alcohol sometimes makes him incoherent, but on the whole he’s harmless.
In his defence he missed Liverpool’s glory years, but he’s still got the Liverpool DNA, where they have to blame everyone else for their fall from being the best team in Europe. I think what irks him most is that on the Liverpool page, come the inevitable losses they like to be in their own company with a big dose of poor old me, licking their wounds, unfortunately as is the way with football that doesn’t happpen, as opposition fans will come along and rub salt in those same wounds.
He just needs to understand that if you want to be Johnny Big Potatoes when you win, someone’s going to mash your spuds when you lose…… Pagan_____________________________

Didn’t watch the match. but judging by the reaction from the media and some fans. i heard that Spurs conned the referee to win a penalty. has the FA taken any action? and given how they have slammed Hazard when he won that penalty against Arsenal. i expect the Spurs mob to come out and slam Kane, and Alli. but they won’t do that.

As a neutral I thought they were both pens to be honest, but just. You don’t like them given against you but if they were your players fouled you would be shouting for a penalty.
As regards Nil, hes fine most of the time but when he’s had a few he loses it. I don’t think he will scare posters off but as Paxton says he may deter others from joining. He just needs a breathalyser on his laptop that shuts it down after 4 units.
Must admit the social worker insult made me smile. Must use that in future.

I still don’t think it was a clear penalty but you see them given (and I’d gratefully accept it if it was given to us) and a draw was a very fair result – both teams dominated one half, and prior to Mo’s second goal we were hanging on by our fingertips.

“Really wish alli would just concentrate on playing the game.absolutely no need to jump on the floor there. Can’t stand his cheating.”
but why let that get in the way of your fantasy! kane didnt dive, lamela didnt dive. did they exaggerate their falls? yes. were they impeded? yes! do i disagree with what they did? yes. alli did dive, there was zero contact he was caught and he was booked!
