Was seemingly not supposed to be on tonight Sean by the looks of it
Behave yourself! Never meant to be on as you well know you 🤡! I will be relaxing looking forward to watching you eulogise over a team you’ve killed for 2 months.. https://t.co/LNJgzupEIC

6th March 2023 at 4:55 pm in reply to: Most embarrassing Manchester United performance today #205106I’m not even sure if I agree with it Sean. I’m just saying I can understand that angle. Xg is a pretty good way to gauge the quality of the chances created and it’s incredibly rare to have such a swing (2 goal difference to 7 goal difference) in xg vs actual score.

6th March 2023 at 4:21 pm in reply to: Most embarrassing Manchester United performance today #205104That’s the point I think Neville was trying to make, albeit poorly.

6th March 2023 at 4:17 pm in reply to: Most embarrassing Manchester United performance today #205103I’m definitely not saying it was lucky Sean. Just that it was one of those games where everything went for you and nothing for us. When xg has a 2 goal difference and the actual difference is 7 goals, it tends to suggest that the result is not a true reflection of the quality of the chances in the game.

6th March 2023 at 3:37 pm in reply to: Most embarrassing Manchester United performance today #205100He should have given Liverpool more credit, without doubt. I can kind of get where he’s coming from though. Liverpool were good, very good even. But it was something like 5-0 then 6-0 from as many shots on goal. That just doesn’t happen usually. It was not really a 7-0 game. Xg had it at 3-1 based on quality of the chances. Some of the goals were just crazy how they bobbled around and then landed at a Liverpool player’s feet. That’s not to take any credit away from Liverpool but this wasn’t a 90min onslaught as we saw last season. This was a close 1st half where we probably even edged it followed by a total collapse in the second by us. I realise that might sound incredibly blinkered. Absolutely no complaints about the result.

6th March 2023 at 10:27 am in reply to: Most embarrassing Manchester United performance today #205089No worries Mikey. I’d agree with that Sean. They should probably keep those two in the studio and not have them commentating. I don’t mind Micah Richards tbh. Him and Keane together are good. Agree on your worst ones. Gabby Agbonlahor is awful.

6th March 2023 at 9:26 am in reply to: Most embarrassing Manchester United performance today #205081Antony has been a massive waste of money Sean. Scored some big, big goals but he looks to be a one trick pony with that long range last footed shot. Can’t beat a man, not very fast, loses the ball. Brazilians often take a while to settle in the PL so I won’t write him off just yet but it’s not looking good.

Good and fair summary Sean. Agree about Bruno. He’s an embarrassment when things aren’t going well.

6th March 2023 at 8:53 am in reply to: Most embarrassing Manchester United performance today #205072Agree re the Carragher footage Nine. They build so much of the coverage around those two and the Utd Liverpool rivalry that it’s even annoying for Utd and Liverpool fans so I can only imagine how nauseating it must be for other fans. It goes without saying that Carra is lucky he even still has a job after his antics in the car that time.

6th March 2023 at 6:17 am in reply to: Most embarrassing Manchester United performance today #205063I haven’t said you’re trolling Mikey. That wasn’t the point I was agreeing with CM about. CM assumed you were trolling, I assume, because of the point both he and I made re the fact he’s disliked by Utd fans for his tendency to overly praise the opposition and criticise Utd in some feeble attempt at looking impartial. I’ve accepted he’s biased. That you’re unable to see Souness and Carragher are every bit as biased and shouldn’t either be commentating/pundits on Liverpool games is surprising. But this is how a forum works. You raise a point and people either agree or they raise counter points. If you’re looking for a forum where everyone just agrees with what you say and pats you on the back, this isn’t it. Hope to see you posting more. Love a good debate 😁

5th March 2023 at 10:55 pm in reply to: Most embarrassing Manchester United performance today #205056Absolutely no difference to Carragher waxing lyrical about everything Gerrard did at Villa Lucky. Carragher once wrote that Gerrard could go on to being mentioned in the same sentence as Pep and Conte. Villa fans absolutely hammered Carragher for supposedly being anti Villa because they sacked his mate.

5th March 2023 at 10:28 pm in reply to: Most embarrassing Manchester United performance today #205046Not having that at all, sorry 😁. He rightly called Bruno Fernandes a disgrace and an embarrassment today for his antics. Most biased pundit of the lot? He isn’t even the most biased pundit in that studio today. Neville is disliked by Utd fans as they feel he too often goes the other way and overly praises Utd’s opponents in an attempt to appear iimpartial. He’s biased yes, but the way the likes of Souness goes in on Utd players is something else. Called Casemiro a “steady Edddie”. Carragher went in on Lisandro Martinez saying he was too short to be a PL defender after about 2 games and refused to admit he was wrong.

5th March 2023 at 10:07 pm in reply to: Most embarrassing Manchester United performance today #205041Yeah very doubt he’ll lose his job for showing bias. Sky Sports still employ Carragher after spitting on a child (after losing to us) so they’re hardly going to fire Neville for showing bias. Souness and Carragher are every bit as biased as Neville when they want to be. Best thing SS could do is stop having ex players of the teams who are playing commentating on the games. Guess it makes good tv though.

That’s it Mikus. Liverpool were done over like that at Villa not long ago. It happens. Liverpool themselves were also battered in a similar fashion by a struggling Madrid side at their own place only recently.
We’re clearly a work in progress and reacted very well to setbacks so far this season, namely the Brentford and the Man City hammerings. We move on. It’s never nice to get hammered but a CL spot and a trophy would have been a great season for us for Ten Hag’s first and we’re halfway there already with a CL spot very much within grasp.

Well he wasn’t wrong as we were the only side still competing on all fronts. Not a chance anyone was seriously backing us to do it though. Ridiculous to suggest otherwise. Any team being left as the sole competitor in all the competitions is going to be the subject of talk about it as it’s such a big feat which has never been accomplished before, albeit it wouldn’t have been THE quadruple anyway, merely A quadruple. Was never, ever on, regardless. The manager’s been there less than a year.

Did you have the same moan when it was City being talked up about the quadruple? Don’t remember you coming on here and complaining about it then? Enjoy kicking us while you’re down but at least be consistent GJ.
