To be fair Nil, I don’t think there has been much of a need for rules in the past. As the site has gradually grown, the need has clearly arisen but I’m hoping it’s not something which will be needed much anyway.

De Gea’s save from Aguero late on was just unreal. I refuse to believe there is a better keeper in world football at the moment. It’s the one position where we probably have the best around

One thing I will say is Herrera is such a frustrating player. He’s made a big difference for us today, adding energy to the midfield and allowing Pogba to get further forward. BUT, he’s such a cheat. Rolls around like Alli at the slightest of touches. Hope he’s gone in the summer

Commiserations to the City lads on here. We certainly had lady luck on our side on a few decisions today. Young had a nightmare with Sterling first half and should have been off for that foul on Aguero which should have been a pen. Nothing to celebrate about coming second but at least we showed in the second half that we can compete with the likes of City when it matters. Hats off to Pogba too for a big game performance which has been a long time coming.
I srill have a sneaky feeling City may win the CL. I think they can come back in Tuesday and, after that, they’re good enough to beat any of the remaining sides.

Jim, I’ve not seen any indication that City couldn’t afford Sanchez. The fact that the Laporte fee & wages combined with the failed Mahrez bid + wages would have been easily enough to pay the Sanchez money suggests they wouldn’t have had a problem affording him. There’s a huge difference to not being able to afford someone and just not wanting to pay the price. I honestly believe City and PSG could buy any player they wanted.

Real tw*t of an agent that Raiola guy. No doubt was looking to scare Utd into offering Pogba a new contract by coming into Mourinho’s office hoping to be able to say “City want to buy Pogba. What will you offer him to stay?”. The only odd thing about it is Pep saying he could not afford Pogba!!

Jim, I’m not going to go as far as to say I’d be annoyed if we won. Of course I’d be happy for the win. But it would be short lived. We’ll still have fallen way short. At least in losing, I think it will have a lasting impression on the side. Winning is nothing more than 3 points really. There are no bragging rights involved when we’re so far behind you anyway

I have no doubt that City will rightfully clinch the title tomorrow and, in many ways, it’s exactly what I want to happen. There can’t be many better motivational tools than seeing your local rivals clinch the title against you. I think our players need to see that to have any chance of challenging next season.

Yeah looking at where they both are now, it’s hard to believe that Rooney was easily the better prospect at 18/19 of the two. Ronaldo deserves all the plaudits coming his way. Messi aside, he’s still head and shoulders above any other player.
