I’m not sure anyone knows just yet Sean. He is the chairman of a bank, the money could well come from the bank but I don’t think there is any firm stance on who owns the bank.

Not sure this Qatari bid is related to the Emir. Itโs a similar surname, but I think thatโs quite common.
Interestingly the Qatariโs are big in horse racing over here and thereโs no angst about that.
Shows the state of football when you need to be that rich to consider takeovers nowadays.
Any qatari bid will be complicated and I wouldnโt want the club to be a mechanism for sport washing, hope it is private investors rather than the state in a different name.

The issue is the burden of proof. If the PL have the same level of burden of proof as the courts (they don’t) it will be on them to prove the money cam from their owner. If they have a lower level of burden of proof (which they do) they just have to convince the panel that in all likelihood the money came from where the emails say it does.
This is why UEFA found them guilty and CAS said some of the charges were not proven, UEFA didn’t have the full money trail (how could they?). PL do not need to worry about CAS this time.

VAR has been really inconsistent this season with offsides, they need to sort that out, especially when a player is offside and they allow play to go on.

Good win that for Utd, Rashford keeps scoring. Scrappy game, lots of fouls.
Not sure on the Weghorst offside, ball came off the Leeds defender.
Strange weekend for VAR, Brentford got lucky with their goal but Arsenal got lucky with the disallowed Brentford goal early on. Defender tripped himself up and ref gave free kick.

What I find interesting in this one is that the PL have charged City knowing:
1. UEFA found them guilty on similar charges
2. They have added a non-cooperative charge (35 actually!)
3. CAS said many of UEFA charges were time barred
4. CAS found City guilty of non-cooperation
5. PL have no time barred rules
6. This cannot go to CASI think City are hoping there is the same level of guilt required as per at CAS, but the PL wonโt have that. A lot of the non-proven charges at CAS were based on a high threshold. PL would know their own threshold. Be amazed if City are found not guilty of all charges. (Not withstanding innocent until proven otherwise).
