Adlab, it makes me wonder when this was decided years ago, nobody thought to even bat an eyelid or raise any questions. Even if they did, it just got brushed to one side.

It would seem, the official verdict, was because the goalie was so far of his line, he basically played about 3 guys in yellow offside, as there was only the 1 defender left between them and the goal… so it was a “smart” play by the goalie… apparently…

It made me think at the time of planning schedules. I had no hesitation to work the Monday being tomorrow and England playing in the afternoon. May get more interesting as the week goes on. Looking more forward to Argentina playing Saturday Night.
