Different people have different attitudes towards this subject and that’s fine. On the subject of total withdrawal from the Sport, I don’t make light on expressing as I have done the amount of pain rendered from Man United dominating for 20 years whilst Liverpool were in the mediocre beyond.
And super grateful of those days long gone. I don’t believe Man City will be dominating regardless of ‘endless’ money. In the not so distant future, they will be in transition. I do think if Arsenal nail a Title, they could possibly be the ‘New Kid On The Block on the Mantle of this particular Era.
For what it is worth, I don’t believe there is Conspiracy. I believe there’s just some form of tip-toeing around, incompetency and not following through consistently the laws of the game. A genuinely lack of communication and transparency. This is what I believe this is the root of frustration caused.
I would say wholeheartedly since VAR came in, Liverpool have come good out of it. Mane V Leicester (I think 2019) at Anfield stoppage time. I think Jota got away with a high foot versus Spurs last Season. Sure decisions of significance have gone against us, but I believe over time, they even themselves out.
I’m not sure of the possibility of a Reform, but this whole framework and the people involved are in need of a shake up. Incompetencies need to be followed up properly and either the personnel is retrained or disciplined.
What I do deeply resent is the ignorance playing professionals in the game not unleashing themselves to simply saying “if that was for my team I would shout for a pen” or “if it was against my team, I would be thinking thank goodness that wasn’t given”. If there was more of a coming together on this, it would at least make me feel a little bit better knowing there is a degree of honesty.
