I was more than proud for our boys. First time I’ve felt like this since Crystal Palace 3-3 back in 2014, bar humiliations at Villa and versus Man City during the Covid season. Not blaming Joel Matip at all because he alongside Alisson were Superb.

Adlab, I know you have wholeheartedly exercised your views on Refereeing. I normally have kept this to myself and know in my heart knowing we’ve been hard done by when a certain Alex Ferguson was around. Who used to get the decisions their way?
Compared to that time, it’s not so bad.
You have a valid argument.
Both Managers are of course prior to kick off invited in a room by the Referee to chat a heads up so everybody knows what to expect. But, this Referee was about Handing out Yellow Cards. He should marry a Yellow Card, Haha the Red Card would be Jealous 🙂 Honestly though, one would think or many would think what?

VAR has been terrible this season. Must be 5 games it has cost us so far. They really do need to consider scrapping it, as it’s just it’s just not fit for purpose now.
Rugby is having the same issues now, they rely on TMO and it takes away from the ref on the pitch as they have a natural take on the game itself, what they have given before or what they have let people get away with. TMO just sees black and white and often sees something which wasn’t there or miss something that was.
VAR is doing the same and is just so inconsistent.

I myself am disappointed City despite all the unavailable staff who were by far the better team but still lost, at the same yesterday’s results are good for the game as it opens up things a bit more and makes it more interesting.

Again, no idea what to make of us. Thought we turned a corner a little in the week but back to the same rubbish yesterday. I think injuries in the back 4 are really hurting us but we should have more than enough to easily be beating the likes of Palace.
Spurs getting yet another big favouable VAR call after the the strange handball call against us which wasn’t given as a pen.
