just 18? Pah, an oldie! We have Elliot in our squad and he’s barely out of nappies!
Yes Nil, 20:00 BST, Wednesday. I think for you UK people it’s on BT.13th August 2019 at 6:01 pm #45225
Ha, ha, threeps true enough buddie Gilmour only turned 18 a few weeks ago but he’s an old man by comparison to Elliot.😊13th August 2019 at 7:31 pm #45227
Quite looking forward to the game. Really wouldnt say who might win. Liverpool are big favourites but I have a little feel for Chelsea.13th August 2019 at 9:18 pm #45235
3ps, the way some of the posts were coming across, it was as they were building themselves up for Tonight (which got me thinking!).14th August 2019 at 8:13 am #45256

You look at Chelsea’s team on Sunday and it was severely weakened yet they still did well. Mistakes killed them
We should be winning tonight as they are still missing key players but anything can happen in a one off game.
We have the squad to mix it up tonight so would like to see Matip, mane and Keita come in
If we keep playing that high a line then it’s a huge risk. We conceded far to many chances in our last two games. We seem to playing nearly on the half way line these days. Last season it was well organizedand it looked like we played a good few yards back then our previous two games14th August 2019 at 8:34 am #45257
Liverpool 5/7 on Chelsea 9/2 against. Seems about right to me. I would take a narrow defeat and a decent performance right now if it was on offer.14th August 2019 at 1:01 pm #45267
Having seen a lot of female refs in the grass roots leagues, they’re pretty much on par with the male ones, some poor, some good and some exceptional ones. What you do see is the the difference in the players if a decision goes against them, a bit less aggression and more questioning, they tend to show a bit more respect, for me it will be interesting to see if that trait carries on into the professional game. It will also be interesting to see how they deal with the diving and feigning injury, which is rare in the women’s game, would be funny to see the ref tell a player to man up…..Pagan14th August 2019 at 6:38 pm #45276
It really does wind me up that even the pre season and friendly competitions (Community Shield, Super Cup) are no longer free to air. Can they not just let these go for once? Any opportunity to make money. Wouldn’t surprise me if they start charging fans to queue up for autographs soon.14th August 2019 at 6:50 pm #45277
Mikus, that’s the down side of high transfer fees and clubs paying ridiculous salaries, the money has to come from somewhere…..Pagan14th August 2019 at 6:54 pm #45278
Ox in for Firmino so either Salah or Mane up top. Matip for TAA so Gomez at right back. Milner straight swap with Gini.
Be interesting to see how this forward line works. Could it be Gini up top and Ox into the middle 3?14th August 2019 at 6:59 pm #45279
Confirmed Chelsea line up Kante starts: The Chelsea EL Final line up bar the departed Luiz and Hazard.
Chelsea: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Christensen, Emerson, Kovacic, Jorginho, Kante, Pulisic, Pedro, Giroud.14th August 2019 at 7:01 pm #45280
Hopefully the uncouthness associated with football players will be kept in check tonight, I mean calling a male ref a filthy fanny is one thing.14th August 2019 at 7:03 pm #45281
Soo 999 why did Lampard select his B team fot this important clash.14th August 2019 at 7:11 pm #45282
Moos, you’ll have to bear with him, he’s on the phone asking him as I type….Pagan14th August 2019 at 7:15 pm #45283

Not a fan of ox play on the right of the 3 if that’s the case.
Rather give Shaqiri a run.
Or are we playing a diamond with Salah and mane up top? Salah through the middle last season didn’t really work out in
A 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1
Very strong Chelsea team.
Maybe their strongest team with the exception of Rudiger.
Going to be a very tough game
