The 2022/23 PL timetable to accomodate the Qatar World Cup

I think the whole World is preety much united in believing that Qatar is the wrong venue for the World Cup Finals for all sorts of reasons but it’s a fete accompli now and it’s not going to change and it’s very unlikely any Country will boycott it.

I think FIFA will allow soft protests from teams as we have already seen in the Qualifiers limited to pre match training tops and tee shirts etc but they won’t let any protest apparel on the field of play how they police that and what the punishments may be for breaking the rules will presumably become apparent closer to the tournament.

Nothing will make holding the World Cup in Qatar right but hopefully it’s a good tournament without too many hitches with lots of sensational football and it’s the football that we’re left talking about.

You are right Chuky, it will get brushed under the carpet whatever happens. I do wonder if the country is ready for Football fans though, a lot of drinking time between matches, no doubt somebody will be making profit from it. Blatter and Platini have been handsomely paid and I guess will have a box somewhere I assume but I could be wrong with these two fine upstanding gentlemen
