Pogba leaving would be a disaster. I think Liverpool got away with Coutinho leaving because Klopp is such a big name, with massive draw power. Generally, it doesn’t speak well of a clubs ambitions for a new manager to come in and instantly have the best player leave for pastures new. What does it say to other prospective signings?
I guess CL qualification is pretty vital right now.

Mikus-I expect Real Madrid will sell quite a few of their players this summer,with the likes of Bale,Kovacic ,James,Kroos,Isco,Benzema,Ceballos,Mariano Diaz, Navas,all being sold to raise money for a major overhaul/rebuild of their squad/team.I expect RM to go on a massive spending spree this summer,if not then they are really screwed!

Mak-Like I said on a previous post m8,only IF PP really wants to be playing for United and fighting to finish 4th,in the process! Otherwise nobody expect United to be challenging for major trophies anyway,so his sale would trigger a major rebuild-which United requires anyway,period! I for one would simply expect Pogba & DDG to seek a move to Real/Barca,teams guaranteed to be vying for trophies- EVERY SEASON! If selling Pogba enables United[with a few more millions],to sign the likes of Verratti & SMS,or SMS & Mdombele/Doucoure,then that would be acceptable. Lets face it,what chance do DDG & Pogba stand of winning major trophies [EPL & CL] while playing for United??

I was quite confident of Pogba staying until Zidane went back there. Putting aside the obvious appeal for a man his age of living in Madrid vs living in Manchester, his admiration for Zidane is no secret. I’m sorry but I just don’t buy all this about players being desperate to play for Real or Barca. Our biggest clubs in the PL are every bit as appealing to play for but lack the climate and (historically at least) the wages on offer at those two. If the climates were switched, there wouldn’t be half the appeal for those 2 that exist now.
As for Pogba, he goes from looking like the most talented midfielder in world football to leaving you wondering whether he’s actually playing. One thing is for absolute certain, the whole circus that follows him is something Ferguson would never have tolerated. You look at how he got rid of Beckham who also loved the fuss around whatever hairstyle he changed to. In that sense, he’s more suited to the glitz and glamour, sunshine of Real than the rainy, roll-your-sleeves up, gritty challenge that lies ahead at Utd.
I’d be content with him leaving to be honest. I think with Pogba, it’s more about how it looks losing a player of his ability rather than actually losing his ability from the side, if that makes sense.
Losing DDG and Pogba in one window would be disastrous but it looks a real possibility.
One thing I don’t understand is why do City’s players never get linked to other clubs. Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea are constantly having their best players linked elsewhere but why are neither Real or Barca ever heavily linked to Aguero, KDB, Fernandinho, Silva etc? Even during our peak years our players were heavily linked to European clubs.

Chucky, I was counting the only CL Qtr Final Spurs have played in to date which is currently the only one that would have allowed them to progress past the CL Qtr Finals stage. Hence my “to be fair comment”. As. I said “let’s see if they can get past City” to improve that record.
But yes of course Spurs have played in one CL Qtr Final and have qualified to play in another tough v City but if City run out of steam in chasing on all fronts you just never know.
