Personally couldn’t care less that we lost. I applaud Slot for giving certain players a bit of time off and thus an extended summer break. Also trying a few things differently tactically, like Szoboszlai as an 8 (and we all know why, just too scared to say it!).
Nil yeah most of those players will likely go this summer. There was a reason Slot kept his starting 11 fairly consistent throughout the season which meant we couldn’t compete for every trophy. It was good team management because we won the biggest trophy we could.
You (and other LFC fans) make it sound like we are in a crisis. Champions and crisis club at the same time!

Cheers 3ps. Haha, I do appreciate what you mean in the grand scheme and all that. Mine and many heads are buried a little bit in the leaves of the Forest. I thought we were good to hit the 90 point mark and would have been even happier, but that stat won’t even be really picked up by people as the years go by.
I need to learn to recognize what we have achieved considering in recent times, the amount of near misses!!

Hes been excellent. Your one of the few people ive heard down talk him.
Absolutely up for a battle as shown many times this season. Tenacious in the tackle, works hard and excellent on the ball.he played szobo there as macca out for the season. So y saying slot is looking at szobo to play 8 and ditch macca if we bring in a ten? Interesting Look at his stats. I think the 3 in midfield have been excellent on. Szobo decision making poor at times as should have more goals given tye chances hes had but unbelievable work rate.
Covers mo and Gravenberch revelation but over played and looks absolutely exhausted since our feb/march run.We had this discussion. Totally disagree with you about macca. Highly rated by the managers, fans and people in the game

Didn’t actually see properly that part of your post 3p’s. Clarification would be good mate on your part.
I was very lucky to see Macca live, and he really is a hard-worker and a busy player. Dom I think is better suited in that ‘Luis Garcia’ role. I wanted more of a 90s Jamie Redknapp out of Dom getting stuck into more tackles, looking around to seek awareness and finding passes.
Macca used too much in my view which scared me because he is at greater risk of getting injured.
We’re looking at other options to strengthen of course this summer. Wirtz is good as an attacker, but if Slot is planning on letting Endo leave, then we need a back up for Grav.

I really like MacAllister, and yes he gets stuck in no problem. But sometimes he can be caught too far forward and then his lack of pace exposes him. I think Slot saw that and changed his role to be a little more reserved going forward for the last few weeks. I wanted him to play the 10.
But I really rate the guy. If Szoboszlai plays the 8 it will be in rotation with MacAllister or slightly deeper than his current no 10 role with Wirtz as a false 9 and our wide players closer to the goal. I suspect the later.
The line I think you misinterpreted is the one about being too scared to say so? All I meant by that is I think Wirtz is incoming and maybe other liverpool fans do but won’t admit it because of how other potential big signings have gone recently. Nothing to with MacAllister.

Not sure about Jones. He can be pretty good, but a lot of the time he holds onto the ball too long or the game passes him by. He’s no longer a young player with potential.
If we got a good price for him it might be worth selling as he’s club trained it would be 100% profit for PSR.
Regarding Frimpong I watched a fair bit of him when researching Alonso’s style when he was linked to follow on from Klopp. He’s so much like a winger as he was always popping up in the box but Alonso had a tactic where they would concentrate the play on the left then quickly switch to Frimpong in space on the right.
For us I worry along with Kerkez we will be badly exposed especially as Slot never plays a dedicated DM that drops in to a back 3. But I am sure he has an idea to solve it.
I think Frimpong, Kerkez, Robertson and Bradley have a lot of common traits and will provide good width, with our wide forwards more narrow.

Bit of traction on Wirtz from articles/reports coming out today supposedly of a 126m fee.
No doubt we would need to accelerate as quick to engage in selling.
3ps, kinda feel same as you on Jones. He’s better fitted into a best 11 selected.
Kerkez if signed will be either gradually integrated or will be a prominent choice for Slot. The deal if negotiated to keep Robbo on for another season I’d suspect would include these conditions of him accepting reduced playing time.

Yup pretty much done, but there were strong indications for about 4 days now in DE.
My thoughts? Chuffed. I’ve kept an eye on him since he broke into the B04 first team replacing Harvetz. He’s from just outside KΓΆln where I used to live so it was nice to see a local lad make it big.
