Seen Dunney and Lescott a couple of times, but both quite quiet really.

What I don’t get is the total over reaction. Ye we spent money but city are miles ahead of us

Let’s be honest here now. Every time we get close to something we fuck it up

Just look at our record recently.

Lost our last 4 finals. Klopp has lost his last 6 finals.whn is it going to change?did we use all our luck in finals in 05?

2014- our captain, one of the best ever Liverpool players slips, a fucking slip which basically costs us the title. No way would I ever blame Gerrard. That’s just pure bad luck

We bottle the Europa league final after going 1-0 up

Cl final our best player gets injured after being fit all season and our keeper makes two massive mistakes that you wouldn’t see in a pub game.

I think we’re in a good place on and off the pitch. I love watching us play but one game is gone in the league. There is no gaurantee the players we signed will be big hits

I listen to some Liverpool fans and I really wonder what the fuck they are going on about. We have been here so many times, so so many times were people go overboard and say we will win the league. We won’t.
People can say I’m negative but I’m realistic. I’ll wnjoy watching us this season but I expect us to finish 3rd and trophyless. I’ll go overboard when we actually win something

Hightown, I really wasn’t looking to start a debate mate I just stated a personally held view that it would be better impo if we had pundits not attached to the club commenting on their former clubs games and issues.

Redknapp’s article motivated it but I happily accept it is probably just his opinion and as you’ve pointed out it’s not a unique opinion blimey even I think Liverpool are City’s nearest challenger and that Liverpool have a real chance of winning the title this season!?

So on this occasion I’m happy to admit I might have been doing Redknapp a disservice but it doesn’t change my core view re club connected pundits commenting on their club’s games and club issues.

City’s yardstick is last season, now it will be very hard to follow but I am sure they will give it a go. I think that Liverpool are under more pressure than City and I think they will react in a positive way but let us not forget there are a good few other teams who will fancy there chances as well An interesting season ahead

Three months out confirmed shame for the player, City and the City fans and a big miss for the PL too.

Can only wish De Bruyhe all the very best for a quick recovery lovely player and a joy to watch.

Not sure we’ll miss KDB as much as some are saying. Yes, he’s world class but we’re now in a much stronger position, squad-wise, than we’ve ever been. I’m not as concerned as I have been in the past when we lost the likes of Yaya and Aguero for any length of time. KDB didn’t start against either Chelsea or Arsenal and we won both those fairly comfortably. We weren’t great against Arsenal but I feel that was due to a bit of ‘rustiness’. Time will tell.
Must say, great post by Sean yesterday @ 8:40pm.

giblues, with respect..yes we will miss him. I like to think of it now as, we have him fit for the New Year and the run in to the Premier and hopefully some important Cup games, It is also important not to thrust too much responsibility on to Foden filling the shoes of KDB. I am sure Pep will manage him, it is an opportunity though for him to get some game time and I am sure he will take it, at the moment I believe he cannot do 90 minutes but by the end of december he can, then we have a player on our hands

Every cloud has a silver lining Brian and it definitely gives Foden greater opportunities.

Be a shame imo if the KDB injury proves a significant factor in the title race

Brian, I didn’t say I don’t think we’ll miss him, I just don’t think we’ll miss him to the extent some are making out – we have a great squad and a fantastic manager who will make any necessary adjustments to accommodate his loss. I feel Foden is still too young to step in full time but do think he’ll get more game time during KDB’s absence.

This is a big blow for City, they don’t really have another player in his mould, they will miss those wicked crosses, not to mention his pace in midfield. KDB is a match winner, to think City won’t miss him is silly. I hope I’m wrong.

KDB was young and looked very good on his debut v Hull Jose should have given him a bit more of a chance alongside that KDB lost patience with Mourinho.

Salah was as also a big mistake but perhaps not quite so obvious at the time that he was going to get anywhere near the player he has become.

Criminal of the Club though not to have written both sell on and buy back clauses into the deals when both players were sold.

Kdb is a great player nine but I would hardly say if he was missing abd city didn’t win the league it would be because of him missing.

You have David Silva , Bernardo Silva abd gundogan there. Unreal options

Sean, I love David Silva but he’s just beginning to wane imo , Gundogan is a squad player, Bernardo could come in and do a job as could Foden but Kevin Dr Bruyhe among other awards was City’s player of the Season.
