At this rate tomorrow will be more than 100,000 and growing. You just can’t allow 50,000 crowds together in a small space. A break is needed now I feel and then very limited crowds until we see where this is going.

Being as zero were jabbed first time round and majority are now, yet infection rates are record high, its does seem that while vaccines are clearly effective at preventing severe illness they are seemingly limited in effectiveness at preventing transmission and infection.
I would agree with adlab, proof of vaccination provides little security when gathering in numbers and so a break is needed.

Makes sense seeing omicron is more transmissible but weaker…so the vaccines are more effective against severe illness but less effective against transmission than the previous variant.
We can expect nothing but high infection rates…keep up the precautions all, masks, sanitizer, social distancing etc stay safe all.

Rover, some places are doing walk ins probably best to get an appointment at your GP’s though some of the walk in waits are quite long allegedly. Get it done though buddie asap.

I don’t really bother with the mainstream media anymore. They’ve been absolutely obsessed with this whole thing and constantly pump out doom and gloom. Even when the news is better that the new variant is milder, they find someone to counteract that and try to maintain the fear. If the mainstream media were a person, you’d probably refer them to a psychologist for exhibiting obsessional behaviour and paranoia.

In all honesty while the general media is of course sensationalism what the medical scientists predict has proven to be true. Unlike the media they base their facts and predictions on data, so if they saying beware of the next wave there will be some truth in it. We cant cover our eyes and simply not believe. What we can do is take all possible safety measures .
