Sean, hope all is well with your family. As with you Brian.

My mum 3 weeks ago today gave us a scare as she just passed out in the kitchen (a day after her jab). My dad and I carried her over to the sofa, and comforted her with a pillow and blanket. We thought we may have to call an ambulance as she wouldn’t speak momentarily, but I think it was the sheer overwhelming of tiredness and the fever symptoms.

That 3rd Jab certainly has something about. Thank Goodness of late she’s able to get out and about 🙏

I had covid in August, had very few effects thankfully, I know exactly where I caught it and off who, one of the youngest cricket team players. How fast it spread was unbelievable, and those that isolated stopped it, but those that didn’t spread it far and wide, other than the source club, two County age group teams and 4 other teams ended up out of action for a couple of weeks……….Pagan

It’s simply a response to sharp rise in cases nine….but a sharp rise in cases is what is to be expected with omicron as it is far more transmissible but far less severe than the previous variant.

I dont care what prem do except for my want to watch football of course… but my eyes are on this joke of a government and prime minister.

The high transmission rate of this variant will mean more and more people who go to hospital with normal causes will coincidentally test positive (within 28 days) and be recorded as admission due to covid. similarly, more people who die of normal causes will, because of the higher transmission rate, coincidentally test positive and be recorded as death due to covid. No doubt the government will use these admittedly inflated figures to further terrorise us through Xmas, bloody marvellous.

I also have no doubt they will use these figures to push for further controls like covid passports and the moment they mention mandatory vaccines like in Australia I am protesting. Its sick how governments are unable to resist seizing extra powers and controls through every opportunity.

Again, it is clear that while omicron is far more contagious, it is much less severe and the vast majority of people in this country have had at least one jab or caught covid previously and have natural immunity.

I just had my booster and not pretending covid was harmless, but we are far from where we were a year ago.

Politics aside the most important thing Lucky is not to let the NHS get completely overun by Covid to the point of breaking down.

My personal experience over the last few weeks is that certainly in the case of my Hospital managing my treatment they seem to be struggling and Covid is putting extra pressure on them all.

Part of the problem with football seems to be that for whatever reasons some players have been reluctant to have both jabs and they are seemngly running behind on the booster too.

I wouldn’t rule out another enforced break currently.

Don’t have a great deal of love for Boris but, just like the men in black, the poor sod is on a hiding to nothing here… does too much and peeps start yelling about “Government interference”, does too little and peeps start yelling “what’s the Government doing?”…

It’s an unprecedented situation, there aren’t really any proven protocols to follow, and the permutations of what could happen based on every decision are incalcuable when you start to factor in all elements involved like, NHS, economy, peoples “rights” etc…

I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes, if I’m honest!!
