It’s exciting times for Chelsea they now have the opportunity to take a new approach to strengthen the squad and still continue to be successful. After all if you look around the world markets there are not many players at the required class that can brought in. They have enough now to mount serious challenges on all fronts, consistency though is the problem as it is with all clubs.

Congratulations to Liverpool thought the penalty was very harsh but they got a good 2nd goal so Spurs can’t complain. And that’s that for this season.

Still think Liverpools weakness is in the middle of the park they don’t dominate enough but rely on their free scoring forwards and of course since van Dyk came in the defence has improved massively. Plus a decent enough keeper.

A fantastic performance by Liverpool, problem with Barca they rely on that guy too much. He was trying to go through the whole Liverpool team by himself cause he knows the others are no longer up to standard. Can’t see either Ajax or Spurs beating Liverpool.

I have so many Liverpool friends and am happy for them, the result once again demonstrates the strength of the EPL, maybe a Spurs~Liverpool final coupled with a possible Chelsea ~Arsenal final.

Must admit I’m mildly surprised Chelsea made the top 4 with a game to spare and thanks mainly to the benevolence of other teams, yesterdays result was not fair on Watford who were the better side in the first half so our luck has changed again to good. Transfer ban or not the team needs to be seriously looked at from a playing point of view, a few players don’t merit starting so regularly. A lot of ironing out to be done for next season. I imagine Sarri will be there now that he achieved a top 4 and a possible Europa Cup.

How exciting and also traumatic for many is the EPL. I always count the off season weeks till it starts again. Why any other top players would want to go play in any other leagues is beyond belief. Yes you still get exposure and media but the fans that watch the actual games outside each respective country are few while the world watches the EPL with fascination.

Saf was very lucky in his 2 CL wins. Against Bayern they were only in the game for about 10 minutes when they scored both goals and against Chelsea Terry slipped for what would have been the winning penalty, still don’t know why he took it.

I’m bewildered as to why he did so little to strengthen his defence. Can’t believe he stuck with those players, yes they good as attacking defenders but that’s all. Kompany and Otamendi are jokes.

We lucky to have Pep in the Premier league, the guy has what it takes, he has had his fair share of bad luck in the CL such as last night. Ferguson rated as one of the best ever also only won 2 CL in his length management period and in both finals was extremely lucky.

Pep like all managers has to take blame cause though City were very unlucky he has not done much to strengthen their Achilles heel defence. It’s no use playing lovely football and scoring plenty of goals if the lot at the back are so weak defencecively.
