Disappointing match that. Reminded me a lot of Liv vs City at Annfield earlier in the season. Real lack of chances. Utd struggled badly with those injuries and Rashford picking up that knock. He wasn’t himself at all after that

Harry Kane is probably the best striker in the world but he’s disappeared against us on a number of occasions even up against the likes of Jones and Smalling. That doesn’t make him a poor player.

Hang on, I never said he was our best player that day. I just said he was brilliant in those 3 big games. You questioned one of those, in which he happened to have played what some believe to be the pass of the season and where he in most pundits’ eyes played better than every single Spurs player. His stats are brilliant this year. So he doesn’t get MOTM every game? That’s hardly a fair critique. I’ve been his biggest critic previously but there isn’t a midfielder in the league performing better at the moment

Yeah Everton are poor and never turn up against Liverpool so if they get through today, as I suspect, they’re in with a real chance of continuing with that lead of City going into that final 10 game stretch.
Out of interest, what would people’s combined Utd Liv XI be? Aside from DDG, Pogba and Rashford, I think it would be all Liverpool players if I’m honest. Rashford just edges out Firmino IMO, especially on current form. Pogba has to be in there somewhere and DDG is a still the more reliable of the two keepers.

As for Spurs, it was stupid that people were getting carried away after they comfortably bet Dortmund in the week and it’s just as stupid to get carried away after this result. They’ll no doubt finish around 3rd which will be a decent season, but like Nine says, will most certainly secure his stay at Spurs which will please the Spurs fans.

Utd didn’t get much luck against any of Spurs, Arsenal or Chelsea. We were certainly unlucky against PSG though. They go down to ten men there and it’s a different game. They were definitely the better side though, overall. But we were quite comfortable in the 3 big away games until we tired in the last half hour or so. Against Spurs we should have been out of sight at half time. Chelsea we never looked like losing and Arsenal was quite comfortable, too.
Still, we’ve definitely not been as good at home under Ole as away so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Liverpool nick it either. Wouldn’t be a disaster for us in the chase for a CL spot mind.
