So PSG are pricing Barcola at £145m, now if this is true, then that is absolutely taking the piss, what exactly are they smoking? He’s only worth about £80m.

Even Doue is a better winger than him (despite being 3 years younger) and that’s why he starts before him in most of the big games.

No Deal at that price, and as I’ve said before, there are other better priced top-quality wingers around.

Liverpool must not be held to ransom by PSG, like we were with Newcastle last summer, paying £125m for an injury-prone £70m striker.

I thought it was Euros songman, but I cant agree more about Barcola. We, in reality, are buying a player for a position thats covered. He’s a left winger, now we are buying big to make do…it makes no sense. If we made the decision to scrap Mo’s contract, we should’ve had a player almost signed up before making that decision to scrap Mo’s contract.

The club is ‘a basket case’ behind the scenes, one person said ‘its like a shopping trolley’…who could argue?!

It could be that Barcola is signed to play left side and Mbaye will share the right side with Rio until a top target becomes attainable. Not perfect but unfortunately life sometimes isn’t, especially when talking about football transfers.

They will swap during a game anyway.

Whilst we are at it we should sign Zabarnyi and Zaire-Emery, just think we could make them fly together and save a bit on the private jet. That will keep some of you amateur football financial experts happy!

I can’t think of one reason to delay the announcement if personal terms and a fee agreed and all contracts have been signed. Liverpool will want him in Kirkby.

Once the contract is signed, it’s binding and can’t be renaged upon so I wouldn’t understand PSG delaying the announcement until a replacement is found for eg.

Doesn’t compute to me.

Age doesn’t matter, if you’re good enough.

To me, the best Premier League game last season, not involving Liverpool, was easily when Bournemouth absolutely outplayed Arsenal on their own pitch in a stunning 2-1 win.

And the Bournemouth team started with three players aged 20 or under (Jiménez, Rayan and Kroupi) and one sub under 20, Toth.

This shows me Iraola fully trusts young players, perhaps due to them being more coachable, and that trend might continue at Liverpool, as long as they can deliver the goods on the pitch.
