Just for the record I post a fair few rumours and it doesn’t mean I think they’ll happen, it’s more for discussion (got a few of last summers transfers right though!).

I do think we are currently conducting an end of season review and if the club appoints new coaching staff for Slot then he stays, but there’s still a chance he goes.

Etienne Reijnen expected to join Slot’s coaching team this summer.

Reijnen was Slot’s assistant at Feyenoord. Slot wanted to bring him over when he arrived but the club could not get a work permit.

Rob, mentioned Reijnen in the “next liverpool coach” thread and that if he is appointed then that’s Slot staying. Also mentioned there’s a review and there’s still hope he will get the boot despite many things now pointing towards him staying.

If we are stuck with Slot I wouldn’t care if who we signed it won’t make much difference.

Since the first 5 games where we were lucky to win I think its 46 points from 33 games which would put us 12th.

its just a slow news day, every player has gone on holiday right now, there is no training. There are no transfer news and the tabloids need to print something to get those clicks. Every Liverpool fan will check up on this.

This is a world cup year so we are not likely to see any early transfers as most of the players involved are heading to the world cup. They are not gonna want to move clubs until after the world cup, clubs are not gonna want to sell either until after the world cup in hopes that player profiles rise.

The only rumors I will listen to is for u21 players, I can see a host of them coming in this season, I reckon Edwards has scouted the whole of south America right now and we could see a influx of young talent from there being brought to the club or from Europe.

I doubt any big transfer will happen until after the World Cup, we might see one big one to improve the mood for fans and the players. We need that big signing ASAP after Salah leaves. Hopefully Diomande but I am not gonna expect a early transfer unless its for u21.

The only other news I will search for is when Slot gets scheduled a taxi

Then I am hearing that around 4-7 million have been relocated for coaching staff upgrades or new staff. That falls into the earlier estimate that it would only cost around 3.5 million to get rid of Slot.

Like the lad states don´t put too much thought into this unless you chose to, these are just sources he knows, he popped up on my feed around a month ago on youtube and what I like about him is that he always states take this with a bit of doubt.

We got two 16 year old signing in the next few days, that German kid with 19 apps which is unheard of at his age. Then some Celtic kid as well, we are looking at a few more kids around Europe. I expect a few to arrive from South America a little bit older, they can´t really move around until 18 and we need to start taking advantage of that market. At 18 years old they also become eligible as home grown later on. I really believe we are gonna invest heavily into youth this window as there are only two players making their case into the first team.

Beside, if Slot remains in charge then these youngsters will not be given a chance and youngsters need to play to develop. Better off letting them goto to Brighton or Bournemouth for a few years and buy them for x10 the price if they make it.

well there is that non footballing reason otherwise he would be free to move, a German player can sign for any European club after the age of 16 but I´m not saying him in particular even though I mentioned that rumor, we all know we need more youth players. I reckon we will see about 6-8 youth players signed this window if not more.

I doubt he would be happy to sit out on playing for 2 years or until he turned 18 but he could still sign and train for the reserves or we would provide him with a loan back to his parent club until he turned 18.

Sepp Van Der Berg apparently had a big problem at Anfield, seriously depressed and wanted to move after a loan move after a loan move. I don´t like repeating that mistake, Slot apparently dealt with that meeting very poorly. That is a defender we could have used this season for example, he dealt pretty good with our offense in our last game, just with a bit of man management.

I liked that rumor about that meeting in Boston because apparently John Henry told Edwards that either he would sack Slot now or Henry would sack the both of them later this year. Take it with that pinch of salt but I was talking about that 2-4 days ago.

That Edwards will either go down with Slot or he has to sack him!

Then I just wanna ask each and every one of you lads, would you stake your reputation on Slot? Edwards has the trust of Henry right now but this is a decision Edwards will need to shoulder the responsibility for. His career at the club is at stake right now, John Hendry has no problem in finding new people for a project. He has probably done his due diligence right now and has options!

He would not be in the position he is in without making backup plans for every possible scenario!

I don´t put too much faith in moonster and his sources but I keep seeing some of the things he talks about popping up on youtube from other sources. These meetings are happening, his opinion about what is happening at those meetings might be up for debate but I believe 100% that those meetings are taking place right now.

I don´t get the point in being as pessimistic as Sean is right now, we might be in a bad spot but John Henry is vicious, he will wield the axe if needed. He does not accept mediocrity, he knows that Klopp laid down the foundations for this club to be successful and he knows there are vultures around that will not hesitate in feeding upon that.

Ten Hag for example has tried to sell every club his own agency players throughout his career. Slot is trying to do the same here with his connections to Feyenoord. He is not a man found of new ideas, he wants us to replicate something that worked one time in Holland. He cares nothing about the club, just his own reputation.

This was Slot´s first year in charge, this was Edwards first year in charge, neither one made one move during the first year.

Do you honestly think John Henry is in a good mood when those two have lowered the value of the club by quite the margin, that 400k salary every week for Salah was justified actually.

There are only two jerseys that sell more than his, Messi and Ronaldo. That pays for his salary and somehow that cash source just went out the window.

There is not a employee at the club that would not have a private chat with Henry if he so wished, his power is ultimate.

The only scouser in the first team is on his way out and I know Henry knows that the club is lost without it´s culture.

I´m saying this again, either he is selling or sacking the fucking lot. With one exception if those rumors are to be believed, Edwards will be the only one standing if he sacks Slot and Hughes!

I would not say wiped clean as he will still need to deliver but there is no way he will get another contract if Slot continues with his trajectory. Edwards has this 3 year window to either prove that he is a capable DoF or get the sack early and we need a capable manager, not just a yes man to oppose him. To fight for the squad members that actually count.

We can´t sell our first teamers unless they stink the place up with their own shit! It is the first rule of squad building! We can only sell the players that can´t even make the bench! We need to be aggressive and find the right players that will take over our first eleven and then sell the players that get demoted!

There is no way around that rule if we want trophies!

“German player can sign for any European club after the age of 16 ”

Not a British club. The EU has a freedom of movement for players under 18 but Brexit put an end of that for PL teams. He can only formally sign once 18, the best until then is a verbal agreement, but that carries risks for all parties.

I don’t think liverpool is that attractive for young players given recent treatment. They need gametime and there’s far better opportunities elsewhere.

I’m going to make a summer prediction now, and if I’m right I’m going to remind everyone at every opportunity and use the word FACT a lot.

Slot stays. He gets his new assistant who happens to be a set piece specialist.

We buy Barcola for the left, Diomande for the right

Wharton becomes our DM (or as close as Slot plays a midfielder). We get a solid RB as you don’t want a bombing on RB getting in Diomandes way. Dumfries and been mentioned but he is a bombing forward type so not convinced despite the rumoured cheap cost.

Ali stays.

Very fluid front line, almost PSG like. Midfield two consists of a sitter/playmaker and a runner. Kerkez overlaps down the left (protection from Wharton who as said is sitting) and the new RB either stays deep and provides a back pass outlet to Diomande or inverts to CB. He doesn’t overlap.

The only issue… Slot. On paper it seems a feasible tactic but with his part time half arsed attitude to training it won’t work as players will be too unfit to play at a fast enough tempo to make space for that fluid front line. But at least the two new wingers can dribble and create something from nothing.

Coupla issues there Threeps.

Lets say Slot stays, he needs to make his mind up on what kind of right back he wants.
He’s had Bradley whos bombs up and down the wing and then he plays a midfielder who inverts, so what do we want the new RB to do?
Frimpong there also whos very like Dumfries whos bombs up and down.

At centreback do we need another if Konate and Gomez leaves?

In midfield it looks like MacA, Jones and Endo could be off (not sure about MacA leaving for defo).
Options more than Wharton are gonna be needed.

Up front we can pretty much write Ekiteke off for the season.
Isak cant play every min of every game so an option is required there.

I like Diomande and Barcola on the wing. PSG and Arsenal also interested.
Presumably leaving Gakpo and Rio as rotational options.
Just them 2 alone are gonna be a significant outlay and thats before we buy a coupla midfielders, potentially a right back, a centreback and another no9 option.
