We’re nowhere close to the level of Bayern, Real Madrid, PSG or Barcelona… yes maybe we’d draw or win in 1/10 games sort of thing, but all those clubs are milesssss better than us. Newcastle and Spurs got through because it was still the group phase where teams know they can ‘get away with it’ in terms of an average performance or the odd loss here and there… the true colours start to come through when the knock out phase comes through… and we saw how Spurs, Chelsea and Newcastle did then!

I actually think it would do us better to get Europa league next season and get far / win that rather than get into CL and get mauled there, irrespective of money.

As for us getting Champs league next season we won’t survive beyond the knock out phase if at all we make it that far and if the following happens;

1) Carrick as Permanent manager

2) Mainoo one of the starting midfielders

3) Dalot and Shaw as starting FullBacks

Just look at how well organized the top teams are with or without the ball and how fluid they move.

As for Arsenal, they may as well have had a bye all the way to the semis. I don’t recall ever seeing an easy CL draw. Maybe Atletico will cause a problem or two this time round, but I doubt it. Hopefully it’ll be PSG or Bayern etched on the cup.
