Mav, I’m not advocating that we keep them against their will, if they indeed do want to leave. Far from it. I’m just saying we’ve got an uphill struggle ahead of us if they do both go. Although I’d argue we have that either way!

Ed, would Pogba really be a huge miss?
He should be lighting the pl on fire consistently. He doesn’t. For that money, he really has been pretty average coming on 3 seasons now. Great stats for this season but just so up and down

He’s played about 20 good games for utd and the majority of them under ogs.

When he is bad, he is terrible. When he’s good, he’s great but he’s just to inconsistent

Be interesting to know if Jose was referring to Pogba when he told the story of the player and the rolls Royce after the Burnley game. I’m sure he was talking about Pogba

For me De Gea is the beSt keeper in the works but he’s been a bit off this season

Maybe not Sean. I don’t know. I think sometimes his presence is something we’d miss. Other teams know he’s capable of the extraordinary which I think is sometimes enough to intimidate the opposition. He is inconsistent I agree. But, for all the stick we got for the price we paid, I guarantee we’ll end up making a hefty profit on him if he does go.

Ole can’t legislate for a player getting red carded or Smalling scoring an own goal and I suspect both situations might well have happened even if United hadn’t announced Ole.

Personally I think it was a bit previous but it’s done now and the time to judge Ole is next season after he’s been able to put his mark on the team after the Summer transfer market.

God, the atmosphere at the Etihad tonight is pathetic. I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be controversial or wind the City lads on here up, but the place is half empty and those that are there seem to be on a vow of silence. They’ve got a wonderful team to watch and some of the cheapest match tickets in the Premiership and it’s still like a morgue.

Quite some time back as kinda old news; ITV 4 showing La Liga and I think Serie A matches, largely on Sunday.

My Workmate explained something about it being bought out for the remainder of the season due to Sky losing out.

I don’t know the full ins and outs, but anybody out for once wanting a stream and hassle frees coverage free of charge, you are good to go 😀

Hightown, it is noteams respond to it, new, sometimes it happens, then again, we cannot be good at everything!!!!!!! Generated atmosphere is good, mostly for the fans and teams do respond, not always in a positive way, neither is it unique to City, As to attendance, not since the late 40’s have we had a consistent high level of support like some teams but it will be interesting to see what the season average was between City and Liverpool .
Being realistic as well, it is expensive now due to all the games City play, those that can afford it, good luck to them but I have other uses for my money, as much as I follow City that has a higher priority than football and I suspect that is true of many.

Well on the atmosphere thing, Anfield is not what it was. Ya, Im saying this as someone watching via the TV. I know how they might favour away support sounds slightly but you hear the Anfield crowd pick up here and there,.. its not someone turning the crowd up. We’re no fortress anymore, even in the CL.. In fact, I have rarely thought that we were particularly loud in league games. Our CL nights have not been what they were though.

The common man is being priced out of attending matches on a weekly basis though. of course your atmosphere is going to suffer. This is the one thing that I have fallen out with FSG over. I mean, you cant agree with everything your owners do. it really would be better for the club (financially too) to be more atmosphere oriented, than to just get the highest ticket prices. That may sound mad but a good crowd can genuinely have a positive effect on results. this is why away goals exist.

I cant be arsed to go into this further. not right now anyway.
