“The Champions League draw has been declared void and will be “entirely redone” at 14:00 GMT.

Uefa’s statement: “Following a technical problem with the software of an external service provider that instructs the officials as to which teams are eligible to play each other, a material error occurred in the draw for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

“As a result of this, the draw has been declared void and will be entirely redone at 1500 CET.”

I would take whoever we get drawn, if you want to win, you need to beat the best teams in the tournament. but this shows the level of influence that United has over Uefa.

YB I don’t think that’s the case I think the mishap has caused a lot of embarrassment, social media was all over it and UEFA have been pressured by everyone not just utd.

My feeling is that this would be the same if it happened to another club

Young Blue, I was only joking mate. United seem to get the best rub of any green going pretty much from when Sir Alex took control all those years back so tongue in cheek I made that suggestion but good luck to them. Not their fault someone royally f’d up 🙂

Usually if there’s a redraw the tougher teams tend to replace the easier teams which one thought was an easy draw. Chelsea will probably now get PSG or Bayern.

Can’t believe what I’m reading above! If ever there was reason to point an accusing finger at Uefa for fixing draws, it was in Utd being given PSG, not the fact it’s been re-drawn. Obvious to everyone that it was a shambles. Without any shadow of doubt, if Uefa thought they could get away with this mishap and see Ronaldo up against Messi, they’d have tried to brush it under the carpet.
