I’m kind of slanting in the direction of Chelsea for this one but equally, don’t really matter if Man City win it.
Best of luck to both sets of supporters.

24th February 2019 at 4:20 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34199Maybe that’s down to how we are tactically or more credit to the opposing defence.
I have bleated on about this many times, and that’s the player we had that not only was our free-kick specialist, but the little magician that would cut inside from the left and UNLEASH ONE.
Nobody really has replace him nor his role since. We are not that direct enough to shoot when the onus is on us to attack. We are more lethal though on the counter because we find space and execute our threat well.
This summer we’re going to need a hit-man because Salah can’t be relied on nor should he be carried that weight of pressure alone. Sturridge is Sturridge and on the fringes, as with Origi. They’re not guaranteed to be game-changers every game.
A big plus though is that we have improved this season massively as far as our defence goes, and nobody really cant criticise us for that. We can now deliver a more of a measured game and grind out draws if need be.

24th February 2019 at 4:07 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34190Honestly, albeit a moment here and there (understandably), this is the best 0-0 United-Liverpool game I’ve ever seen in my life. Our midfield were excellent and Fabinho was outstanding. Our front 3 just struggled in fairness and perhaps that’s more of a testament to the way United defended.
I’d take the draw with head held high. There have been games like Everton were a draw was poised until that freak moment, so our luck has been used up, but a clean sheet at Old Trafford against a rejuvenated United is a GOOD result, make no mistake.
27 games and a point ahead Man City and only lost one game all season against City. Still in a good place – we push on.

24th February 2019 at 3:02 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34148Mikus, don’t like to say this, but from your point, Coutinho springs to my mind.
He would have buried one of those set pieces and get around the back to finish from close range past De Gea.
Shaqiri is a good hope for us though – glad too to see Sturridge on the pitch.

24th February 2019 at 3:00 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34147The big thing for me is to go into half-time with a clean sheet.
There were two/three hearts in mouth moments, but the main one involving Allison was dealt with, first class.
Other than that, our midfield deserve the plaudits in being able to handle themselves and protect our back 4.
With the injuries that United have had to deal with, they still have quality on the pitch, but you feel from a Liverpool POV maybe all 3 points is there for the taking.
