Liverpool poor in the first half with the midfield second best and the defence looking a bit jittery. Good close range save by Adrian stopped a deserved lead being taken by Southampton. But sometimes the top teams are poor but get a goal because they process that extra bit of quality and Manes goal was quality.
Hopefully Klopp will do something at half time to gain control of the midfield.

Mav, I think when you have xavi, iniesta and prime busquets in your midfield you can dominate the game and still have 3 full out attackers on the field, I dont think they are strong enough in that department now, or at the back, and I dont think Neymar fixes it. If they spend 200m on him on top of the 120m they paid for griezman they are in even bigger trouble because they will be skint for quite a few windows and there are too many other problems needing fixing.

Watching the Norwich/Castle game and I’m going to say it now, Norwich are staying up, there are absolutely 3 worse teams than them in the Prem, and the exact opposite for Castle. I very much doubt there’s one worse team than them, let alone 3.

LD-They are @ a pont when they require rebuilding their backbone,and apart from Firpo and De Jong,they really havent got much youth in the team,with even Greizmann clos to 29.Without Messi they are nothing,and even he is past his best now,been for a couple of years!

Nervy final few moments. Adrian’s decision-making and feet distributing worries me. He has a mistake in him for sure. Need Allison back.

Strange game. We weren’t really in the game for most of the first half. Then in the 2nd half, we dominate them. That all comes to a crashing halt towards then end with that utter madness from Adrian.
There are 2 things I don’t get about his performance today. 1) He made that mistake early in the first half and got away with it (that means, don’t do it again. learn from it!). Southampton were playing well, so we needed the keeper a fair few times and he was really really good. This is where 2 comes… HHoooow does a keeper who’s having a great game do something so completely stupid?
I’m worried now.
We were cruising when he did that. Southampton were down and out but I’ll tell you that flipped on it’s head then and we nearly dropped points.
As for the other games. I’m delighted to see newcastle lose and since we don’t have any newcastle fans on here, that’s all well and good, right? Anyway, I don’t dislike Newcastle, in fact I just want them to be rid of their terrible owner and unfortunately, the only way that happens is if things go tits up them wasting such a great opportunity (Rafa quality manager)… anyway.. Another 3 points is great , with no injuries. Salah is not completely fit but holy hell, Mane was unplayable. They couldn’t handle him. Nobody could in this form.

We didn’t deserve to be ahead at that time, at all. It wasn’t lucky, as the goal was pure quality and you always have a chance when you’ve Salah, Mane, Firmino up top. Just one of them has to have one of their typical moments for us to turn a game on it’s head but I tell you, we could have been behind at that stage.
Salah had an off day, which is great for me cause is captain of my Fantasy football team 😛
