I actually think Ivan Toney is class, I reckon, with good service he could be incredible. Could probably pick him up for 50m too, which for a striker is a steal in this day and age

In my view, Conte deserve that. I don’t like teams parking the bus and anti-football. Everton did that the other week. I get it coming to Anfield etc. It’s something we need to learn to deal with ourselves ultimately.

50mil is a huge fee for Ivan Toney IMO Foxy. He’s 26yrs old. I’d be massively concerned that he’s a one season wonder.
Completely agree Mikus re Klopp and Pep. Mourinho used to get hammered for things like that. They’re both showing the pressure now. Quite enjoy seeing that though. I’ve always felt the City-Liverpool rivalry is far too nice and friendly. Too much high fives and hugs at full time. Not enough mud slinging, sniping or red cards 🙂.

If he gets you 20 goals a season, that’s a steal in this day and age. He’s already scored more than Lukaku, more than any City player, more than any Arsenal player, more than any Hammers player, more than any Chelsea player. Like I said, with better quality service he could be next level. Also, we already know he’s not a one season wonder, he scored 33 goals last season.

I mean a one season wonder in terms of delivering in the PL. So many players come up from the championship, have a great debut season in the PL then struggle the following season. He’s probably worth a gamble but I’d be very wary about paying that much for him, personally.

Klopp spoke about spurs as we played them and it was very poor aswell but city manager and players constantly talking about Liverpool and in a negative way.

Foxy..anybody with a decent striker score more than City players on a one to one basis….I am happy to keep doing what we are doing, It does appear Haarland is coming, now according to all the experts he will score a bagful…well…we will have to see about that in due course, personally, I do not believe he will, of course he will score but I am not sure how many and in the tough PL how fit he is to play most games. Great story for the experts to build up and pull down again though

Ed…if that is your type of football enjoyment…OK. For me, I like honest football, no cheating, no diving and when game is over everyone thankful of the contest, it is the way to teach the youngsters and next generation. The level we are at now is a danger of slipping back to the really bad days and I do not want to see that again. As to Klopp and Pep not to, why should they not get on well together…no logic not to do and I am sure they do in private. City fans have more experience to defeats than Liverpool or Utd so I think most are more mentally tunes…then again , you could say we are mental as well!!!!

Mikus…the thought of Pogbo in a City shirt gives me nightmares…why would we do that???? If we got him for free and payed a modest salary I would still question it
Haarland….I am not as sure as you Mikus, I think he would fit Liverpool better
I am not even sure who will win Pl, we have a mathematical advantage at the moment, the mid week games could change all that again, looks like Gerrard may have a big say in this, since we are both playing Villa in the next week or so, I would have preferred to be at home though._____________________________

I am concerned at our defensive situation though, Pep has just announced that Walker, Stones and Dias are out for the season now. Academy lads will be brought in somewhere, Ake is still not 100% so doubt he will get through 3 matches. The choice then is Fernandinho at CB with Laporte. No excuses though, it is what it is and you have to get through some way

Yeah Brian, I absolutely love the entertainment comes with heated rivalries. Thinking back to the Keane-Vieira battles for example, football needs more of that IMO. Things are far too nice and cosy sometimes.
Pogba to City in one sense surprises me. In another it doesn’t at all. They did it with Hargreaves, Tevez, tried to get Ronaldo. Now potentially Pogba. It’s small risk and huge political/brand gain. The sooner he goes the better. Don’t care where!
