As I said I thought Spurs did well and deserved a result but that does not obviate the appalling refereeing yet again. He should be demoted to the Northern League.
Refereeing and VAR are ruining the game.

Adlab what’s that, the first bad decision for you this season? Try being anyone of the other contenders! Try being Wolves! Over the last few seasons not team has benefitted more from ref decisions than City. You even won titles from it and this season have a number of refs effectively on your payroll.
I find it hilarious when City fans try and make out they’re hard done by.

I’m just wondering whether Grealish was onside during that paasage of play. The worse of it all is the worse brought out in the players. Pure Petulance. Haaland Number 1.
They’ll find they cant have it their own way all the time and more teams will go in at the Ethiad with confidence.

Bluemoon, “City have no luck”. You have to be on the wind up with that! Crazy decision but City have been getting decisions all season. To name a few,the 2 pens against Utd and Chelsea were never pens. Kovacic should have had a red against Arsenal. That’s a red for any other team. City again near the top for penalties awarded after again having the most last season.

It was a truly bad decision no doubt. The ref at first signals play on then blows when Grealish is clearly 1 on 1. Ref have a draw down with the bookies?
Totally wrong by the ref but this is a very rare occurance with City. You’re still well in credit when it comes to ref mistakes!
Haaland was bang out of order. Can understand his frustration but he showed aggression probably exaggerated by his imposing size and ogre looking features! Could and should be a match ban or two coming for him. If VvD received a one match ban and 100k fine for telling the ref to F off Haaland should at least get the same.

That’s a valid point Sean, it’s not like City were robbed of a legimate goal there was still lots to do. As you said Grealish isn’t the quickest and he was still far from the goal. Plus the Spurs keeper is one of the best in the PL. I think the CB would get back or at least commit a red card foul to stop him.
Rodri and Grealish banned for the trip to Villa? Tough match, have City ever gone 4 games without a win since Pep took over?

There shouldn’t be room for that type of reaction in essence when a decision is a bad one. There are ways to challenge the Match Official.
I didn’t like Darwin Nunez’s behaviour either towards Pep. Our society really has gone to the dogs when it comes to Respecting Authority. Putting this to one side, that Referee needs taking into question and retraining.⚽️
