Young is a terrible diver. Rashford does have a tendency to make a meal of fouls too. Like every player in the league really. It’s always funny in these kind of debates how nobody ever names a player from Huddersfield or Brighton, as though the only players who dive happen to play for their biggest rivals. Confirmation bias at its finest!

Sean, I thought you got some breaks v Palace mate but I only watched MOTD and they tend to highlight these things definitely you caught a break v Everton and then there was Mahrez kicking the late penalty out of Anfield.

I don’t get why what Sean said is seen as pessimistic. Liverpool will not win 14 of 15 games and who is going to beat c$ty? I think they will go the rest of the season undefeated. They stayed in touching distance of us whilst missing a number of their best players despite the fact we had our best EVER start to a campaign. Yes they have C/L but so do we & they now have players returning from injury whilst we have them dropping all over the shop. 1 injury up top & we are screwed. It’ll take a bit more than luck for us to win the EPL. I obviously hope we do but I can’t see it. That’s not being pessimistic, that’s just reality. I’ll just enjoy the wins & swear at the dropped points with no expectations of winning any silverware.

Saw the MOTD2 highlights and I didn’t think Rose was that bad, tbh. The one he got booked for was really unlucky imo.
Ref wasn’t given anything. Fulham should have had a penalty when vertonghen pulled the Fulham striker to the ground, but then Llorente could have had one right at the end when he was bundled over.
Ref seemed to wave things through which would have been fouls in other match.
Consistency is the key – as ever.

Liorente Alfie. Certainly looking for itThat’s the thing. People say that could be a pen when there was more contact in salah ahainest Newcastle yet people say he played for it? Which of course he did.
Did it show roses first dive which was as clear as anything. I agree the booking was harsh but he was already going down before the contact.

Had a revisit of all our results since the start of the season and couldn’t believe we’d won every single game of December.
We went 3 or months unbeaten yet some folk out there talk about is when we’re going to trip up or when we do ‘eventually’ lose a match to the Best Prem team, it’s “the wheels are off”.
We must have to be truly disliked or just plainly unpopular for not to be spoken about objectively or even highly. I get it. February will be a big month for us and I’m hoping we’ll be in better shape as far as recovery of our players go.

As far as diving goes, every season we just go around in circles and opposition players are dug out by opposition fans and we’re asked to ‘admit it’ that he was guilty.
No mention or recall of what Lamela did at Anfield last season with his theatrics, not to mention the treatment received by Salah by Sergio Ramos, yet nothing was done.
In my heart of hearts, based on what we’ve had to suffer with, if we get a bit of luck or the rub of the green, I’ll embrace it.
