Week 17: The Morning After the Night Before

Now that the really important midweek games are out the way and all 4 of Engerland’s finest are in the pot on Monday we get back to the bread and butter after a “surf & turf” night out…

Kicks-off with MoneyCity vs Toffeemen, a good test for the Toffee’s to see how far they may (or may not!) have progressed this season… would expect 3 points for City but maybe, just maybe, a draw!?!?

And of course, a biggie on Sunday, with the form book suggesting 3 points for Salahpool, but the form book normally goes out the window in these games, I’m predicting a nice 0-0 draw myself, can see Maureen parking the jumbo and claiming a victory on the basis they didn’t lose…

An underwhelming first half, the highlight being Joe Hart setting a new World Record for taking goal-kicks, and then broke it several times afterwards… I think at least 6 minutes of that half were waiting for Joe Hart to take goal kicks, get your money on him getting a yellow for it in the 2nd… ref can’t keep letting this go… other than that.. err… it’s raining?

I’ve seen some teams set up negatively against the Spuds over the last few years, I’ve seen a few teams set up negatively against a few other teams over the years, but I have never seen a team dug in, defend, time waste, and generally do anything except play football as I have seen Burnley do today.

They deserved their point no doubt, and I but I hope they get relagated…

Lucy Goosey, it was soooo borriiinggg a night out with NIL without any sauce was looking good, even my sister was looking good, even the dog was looking good, the highlight reel for that games start in the 91st minute… it was the worst game of football I’ve seen in years… I got no problems with teams playing for a point, granted, but don’t mean I’ve got to like or admire it…
