Looks like Henderson will be back into the fold for Sunday. A tough fixture this as Spurs are starting to win games at Wembley.
The obvious key is to stop the threat of Kane and Dele Alli, but it will be a big ask to try and keep Spurs at Bay for the whole of 90 minutes.
Tuesday’s wonderful and emphatic result in Europe away from home should bring more than comfort. If anything, encouragement to try and build something on the back of that.
I say we make a day of it and try and come out with a positive result with a well drilled performance.21st October 2017 at 3:04 pm #6425
Liverpool need to remain strong defensively and not make any silly mistakes.
I was really impressed with Spurs v Real and if they put in a performance on or close to that it will make life very tough for Liverpool.
But Liverpool are very good offensively and if they are strong defensively they have every chance of taking something from the game.
I’m going for a 2-2 draw. Really looking forward to this game tomorrow.22nd October 2017 at 1:15 pm #6477
Still awaiting confirmed line ups. Nothing on twitter as of yet.22nd October 2017 at 3:06 pm #648122nd October 2017 at 3:10 pm #6483
Line up confirmed. I feel assured with Klopp choosing to start with Milner to play alongside Can and Henderson. Good decision to omit Wijn. This means Henderson will have the license to support the front 3 with his passing with Milner and Can protecting the back 4.
Firmino is probably in as essentially, we don’t have any strikers, albeit a misfiring Sturridge and a young and a newbie in Solanke. Hopefully though, this kid is allowed a run out in the second half.
Pleased overall and I believe we can enjoy a good day out in Wembley and even come away with all 3 points.22nd October 2017 at 3:11 pm #6484
No Dier?22nd October 2017 at 3:17 pm #6485
Trippier is in place of Dier I believe, Nine.
Some other guy called Sanchez is also in, plus Harry Winks.22nd October 2017 at 3:20 pm #6487
That’s a weird one from Poncho… first glance would say some weird 5-1-3-1 or something like that. Can’t see it being 0-0 with the amount of attacking talent on the pitch. Just happy Mane isn’t playing, he always seems to give us a headache. No idea about Dier, is he on the bench?22nd October 2017 at 3:31 pm #6491
Chucky, yes, Dier is on the bench.
Your line up:22nd October 2017 at 3:34 pm #6492
Didn’t realise Wijn was injured altogether, thus, Milner brought in place.22nd October 2017 at 3:38 pm #6493
That Dier thig is weird, very surprsied to see him on the bench, thought he must be ill or injured..22nd October 2017 at 3:41 pm #6494
My mad Finnish friends on TV here have Spuds playing a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Ali in midfield with Dinksy Winksy…. Trippier/Mad French Bloke as “Wingbacks” I”m guessing.22nd October 2017 at 3:47 pm #6495

Would either set of supporters be happy with a point ?22nd October 2017 at 3:58 pm #6499
Just read somewhere Spuds haven’t beaten the Micky Mousers for 10 games now… knew it had been a while, but not that long!!22nd October 2017 at 4:01 pm #6501srd79Participant55 pts
I’m rooting for the Spuds as one of my colleagues just got a Liverpool tattoo. I really enjoy pissing him off when Liverpool lose 😀22nd October 2017 at 4:09 pm #6502
Terrible defensively by Liverpool again……and again awful!

3-1 to Spurs at H.T22nd October 2017 at 4:50 pm #6507
What a half of football… don’t know what to say, I think Spuds deserve the 3-1 lead, could have been out of sight after 20, but the Micky Mousers and their long balls over the top to Salah have been causing some problems too!
