From my point of view, this theory potentially can stop United from winning any more leagues, but in general, irrespective of the ‘meteoric rise’, I’m not afraid at all.

It’s going to be a lot tougher for anyone to catch City in the PL with Pep tied down to another three years especially given the current 25/30 points difference between City and 4th and 5th place.

Chuckster, they probably may win it mate, but not as handsomely as some people make out to be, mate.

I like the peeps on here as well as City, nothing against them at all, but I’m a Liverpool supporter, and not only that, I’m not one to over pour the golden syrup and throw the towel in just because Pep has signed a new contract!

In fact, that would and should drive others to do better!

Off course everybody is going to give it a crack, otherwise we might as well just cancel the whole bloody thing.

I just can’t realistically see how anybody, even the other 2.5 money-bags teams, are going to catch up in one transfer window (unless they buy the City team!).

Spot on Chucky we all want our teams to compete with City in the PL but given their current squad strength and the fact that they won the title by 19 points from their nearest challenger it’s difficult to see anyone else winning the title over the next few seasons even without them not strengthening further which they surely will.

That’s just being realistic City are already odds on favourite for the PL title next season before a ball has been kicked in anger and before they have strengthened further and the bookies are no mugs!?
