I didnt notice it if Im honest. Not saying he was or wasnt, i just dont remember much about Carra, except him potentially contradicting himself.

Early on in the game I thibk he said they should why as they were last season. Then later on he kinda mocked them for trying to play the same way as last season.

I could be wrong, in that I wasnt really listening tbh…

Really Nil though mate, season is young and thisnis absolutely nothing worth getting upset about. Save it for when a result goes against us ;(

Mak, it basically changed the mood of the second half adding to what became subdued anyway. Seems to me Carra’s been told by Sky to reign it in.

He needs to get the balance right rather than just try and talk Norwich up for the sake of it. Sky need to get in my view people un-associated with former clubs when those Teams affiliated are in action.

Nine, yeah mate. I would champion the same for BT Sport. Commentary is part of the overall facet and coverage. You can’t see it, but you can hear it.

I get the position from non-Liverpool supporters – maybe for example, they could leave Steve McManaman out from an impartiality point of view.

Oh no Nil don’t get me wrong Jose was a complete prize plumb at Chelsea at times and at United too but as the Ed suggests we won’t see the same Jose on screen and as Sean indicates he’s been good at bein sports.

I like Carragher too as a pundit too but he not a co commentator imo and as you suggested he’s best left off Liverpool games.

On the subject of Matchday Commentators, absolutely delight BBC installing Andy Townsend. He’s bad-mouthed and disliked by some on the Internet, but I’ve always found him to be pleasant, engaging, and generally well-balanced.

Hope to hear more from him 🙂
