In summary, best course of action on both parties. Manchester United didn’t leave this dragging too long so it’s been dealt with and hopefully now put to bed.

I would accentuate the timing of this because psychologically, this should now place Ronaldo in a more positive frame of mind where he can focus on serving Portugal.

He is a free man.

I don’t particularly agree using Piers Morgan as a platform to air grievances in the public domain where exposure essentially is global audience. I say this whilst at the time of being a current employee under Manchester United. That is where I would hold him for criticism.

I appreciate however how he must be feeling. I am hoping he is still made to feel welcome should he ever revisit the club on any capacity.

Lost a bet with a Gooner once, had to wear that rag of a shirt all day…. so we all went paintballing, and then I changed the oil in my car (and I didn’t even need too!)… he wasn’t a happy camper by the end of the day… 🙂

Nine, I completely agree with that as far as his conduct is concerned. It makes me wonder why he felt he needed to reach out externally on National TV. Could the club to some degree be at fault?

The other slight question mark in my trail of thought is whether or not he may have been the subject of ageism. He is physically fit and looks after himself and for me still an assignation as far as playing at top level goes.

It seems to be he was just shunned and ghosted once Ten Hag had set foot. Maybe I’m completely wrong and may steps in communication had already taken place by the club, only the fact being that Ronaldo himself wasn’t happy with the terms.
