Good points CM. A combination of injuries, and dip in form and evidently, all the juice squeezed out.
Mav, you’re right mate. 3 more matches and at least 2 at home. Not looking forward to Villa on the Monday Night; I can see what that will look like.
Felt sorry for Alisson after his real good save. It’s like the players just gifted Antonio a free header.
Joel Matip evidently an exceptional loss for us. What a footballing brain of a defender. There are D Grade players knocking about in our squad of whom at best are good enough to play in Carabao Cup competitions.
Maybe what’s taken place in April is a true reflection of who we are. We didn’t win our home matches too against Arsenal and Manchester City. No more fuel left.

27th April 2024 at 3:39 pm #214194Nil-What Liverpool have done this year is superhuman, considering all the injuries! As CM said it, only Klopp manages to achieve that, but football players are humans after all, and they just ran out of steam, pure and simple! But, special mention goes to the entire team for producing what they did.

27th April 2024 at 4:14 pm #214195Our form has fallen off a cliff though I think we were papering over the cracks for quite a lot of the season.

27th April 2024 at 4:45 pm #214196At least Antony actually finds the back of the net! It’s not the fact of how long taken, it’s the fact that you score within those 90 minutes.

27th April 2024 at 4:52 pm #214198Mikus, this is all encapsulated by the glaring sign of this season for us needing to end and Jurgen getting his sending off. The team is in need of a Reset as well as a deconstruction of their game. The full-backs have been in drastic need of movement and option.
We struggle to develop from our own box as the center half’s are passing the ball to each other repeatedly and easily allowing the opposition to get behind in numbers.
No movement, no player willing to run and the opposition and no dribbling ability or inventory leaves a damp squid.
The second half I must say loads better, but the story of the last several games of able to finish costs us. Amazingly as Mav rightly points out, we remain 3rd and a few points behind the Leaders. The will change once the games in hand are played.

28th April 2024 at 10:32 am #214214Richarlison ready for a start; most likely though be on the Bench for Tottenham. I think this is the match where they’ll be an upset on the cards.
Failing that, it could be like a 5-1 for the Gunners.

28th April 2024 at 1:04 pm #214216Ok, not a bad line up, but I would have chosen Sarr or Lo Selco instead of Werner.
I had a feeling Trossard would start.

28th April 2024 at 2:27 pm #214218Poor Rule, poor decision and the point of not being able to celebrate a goal. Only good if you’re the team on the right end of it.

28th April 2024 at 6:41 pm #214222Just got home, well done Buffy, no idea if you lot were worth it or not, but it certainly doesn’t look like the battering pedicted by many… thankfully the 115 won again, doesn’t matter if they win it all as nobody really counts them for real, but how unbearable would the Goonies be if they win one against the machine, they’ed be worse than the Micky Mousers…

28th April 2024 at 8:37 pm #214226Think arsenal were slightly lucky today that they were playing a brainless team. Spurs just make the same nistakes time and time and canβt defend
Huge win for arsenal. Keeps pressure on city but you just cant see city dropping points

28th April 2024 at 8:43 pm #214227What on earth was City fan Chris Wood doing today. His finishing was dubious to say the least.

29th April 2024 at 7:01 am #214235Forest had plenty of chances in the second half and it’s the same old story in eventuality that City have World Class individuals that only require one opportunity to put the game to bed. Yes they rode their luck, but didn’t really panic and kept their composure. Something Liverpool lacked!

29th April 2024 at 7:06 am #214236Stranger things could happen but I think Arsenal will be fine in their last 3 matches.
It would however be too good to be true for both teams to win every single match between now and the final day but it could turn out like 2018-2019.
One of my mates who’s an Arsenal fan was stressing yesterday whilst City were playing. Now he knows what Liverpool fans have had to have gone through. And yes, hardly ever in these situations do City drop points.
April was truly a disaster month for Liverpool. We did this to ourselves; the Europa and Crystal Palace was the most shocking of defeats in history. Salah and Klopp arguing in front of thousands is a weird scene but maybe telling in the Manager in heavy close-down mode and losing the dressing room. Not a good time at all if you’re a Liverpool supporter.

29th April 2024 at 7:10 am #214237Change the Ruling on Offside please! That Spurs goal in my view should have should. It’s literally millimeters and the goal is ruled out rather than given.
It’s not like that in stature of real life. There was no blatant offside.
Modify the handball Rule too and make it clear what is and isn’t handball!
It’s these rules that need sorting and the way it’s managed. You can’t celebrate a goal thinking for one reason or another, it’s going to be ruled out.
I feel Poch’s frustration too!

29th April 2024 at 7:31 am #214238Offside should only be given if any of the boots/feet are clearly ahead of the defending sides boots/feet. Other parts of the body including the head shouldn’t count.
