This is the unfortunate truth.
As many of the TT crew on here will know, I’ve been both a supporter of Nil and more famously, in the wars with him. Sometimes I feel sorry for him and think he should be allowed another chance here and there but he won’t ever change on here without making real life changes.
Ed, you have absolutely made the right call and as Nine said, you’ve been extremely patient with him but if there is no potential for positive change then the hard decision must be made. You’re not here to be abused by people with personal problems. Nine, you are wrong though, the patience you’ve showed Nil is unbeatable. Years of standing up for him, being abused by him and backing him once again. The futility is at an end now.
Nil, if you’re able to read this, I’m not having a go at all but you really need to hear this. You need to work harder at putting an end to this negative cycle. You don’t need to stop drinking but you do need to regulate yourself so you don’t get sloppy so often. I personally think you should start seeing a therapist. They will help you on the path to personal improvement. Lastly, add an exercise regime into your daily life . REALLY DO THIS! Improving your diet is good too, these things will boost your endorphin levels and help to keep your mood from slipping.
Implement that one paragraph and you’re on your way to solving some of your problems, I know for a fact.
I know one thing for sure, you will continue to repeat the mistakes of the past years without that daily push to get on the exercise bike (or whatever you choose). You can do this!

All true Mak and like you I hope Nil gets some professional support that helps to put him on the right path.
I’m not sure football forums are the right place for Nil and I suspect Nil probably recognises that himself. I can only wish him well and hope things work out for him.

Mac-999 has had the patience of a Saint with Nil over the years,even defending him to his own detriment sometimes.Cases and examples of that pleb YK from the TT springs to mind.
