Mak, absolutely mark my words, city will win the league. Look st them now. Late goals and big away wins. If it was us and Arsenal id fancy us but city always do it.
They are just to good. Games are boring as they just have all the ball. No one can get near them. Its just no contest
Its a miracle we challenged them and that eas because of klopp

28th January 2024 at 1:34 pm #212275It is a miracle that we challenged them as well as we did and that miracle continues until this summer.
I’m not going to write City off, not even close but we’#ve a great chance of doing it, one more time.
City having KDB back is going to make it even more difficult and maybe they will run away with it but I’m choosing to believe this time. All we have left is one last time. Let’s make it a good one!

28th January 2024 at 5:26 pm #212284Pep has a lot of respect of Klopp. We don’t know ultimately what’s going to happen. I’d love us to be close and go as far as the final day as with 2019 and 2022. There is lots of football. We need to see for example where we are this time next week. If we’ve dropped points, the knives will be out.
It’s focus and one game at a time. Any Trophy is a Bonus and to be able to give our Manager the best sending off which in itself will be an extremely sad day but one maybe of triumph and celebrations.

28th January 2024 at 5:31 pm #212285Reflecting back on when Sir Alex retired, it is interesting who Liverpool go for. I believe there isn’t many elite managers out there. Ancelotti being the only manager who I believe could continue the success for a few more years, but he is at Madrid and is not a realistic option. When Sir Alex retired, United had the options of Klopp, Pep, Jose and Ancelotti.
It seems like the quality of managers has diminished over the years.

28th January 2024 at 7:50 pm #212299I just can’t believe what I’ve read online (supposedly if it’s true): Tickets for Liverpool’s last home match versus Wolves is priced at £25,000. That’s astronomical. You put that sort of money towards a House, not even a car!
Just insane. It’s magnifying to see the least and it will be a sad and an emotional day etc, but the man I’m sure will attend Anfield in frequency as a guest once he has his break.

29th January 2024 at 2:51 am #212306CM, I have a Utd supporting friend who has drawn lines between this and when Fergie left. Back then, I was not a great fan of Fergie. We had so many years of him dominating the PL though, it was hard to appreciate him while he was still in the job. After he left it was different of course but when I’m learning now is how Utd fans felt when Fergie left. My friend has said exactly that and I see you saying similar. “That’s exactly what it was like when Fergie left”.
I get it now.
I wasn’t worried before that we might see a dip at some stage, which could cost us a title/challenge, but I feel a bit drained by it all, so what do the players feel? They are hopefully going to feel driven by a desire to compete for a PL trophy one last time under Klopp but how will they respond to a result not going their way?
I guess we’ll see.Man Utd are still lost post-Fergie, and we all know what that feels like for sure. Are we headed back there now after this season? I’m not being dramatic, I think it’s very possible. It’s a huge roll of the dice and we’re already falling down the deloitte league. In the link here, just look at Citys apparent income and ours. How has ours fallen that much? I don’t think that factors in the lack of CL football until next year, so wtf has gone on there?
City then, with no real global support worth talking about is making nearly as much as Real… ya, of course 😛
But, Spurrs are nearly upon us. How did we let that happen? 100 million supporters worldwide and we can’t get more money out of our brand? Next years will be about 80m less, so they’ll be ahead of us, and we’ll be trying to tell the next manager in that he can challenge for titles? Ya, we’re going to need to replace all the key areas of the backroom but you can do it.
We’re going to need another miracle, because all these years of Klopp’s miracle work has not given us any financial advantage over the likes of Spurs. All the CL runs, higher PL placings are meaningless now in terms of our revenue right now. I just don’t get it. Are FSG asleep at the wheel or what?

29th January 2024 at 10:22 am #212308I think more is to come out of this and I’m sure there will be revelations unfolded overtime (should there be). The entire management team will follow suit. Perhaps a simple admission than to be swept away once a New Manager is appointed.
Could well be they disperse individually and find their own path. Great shame as I liked Pep Lijnders. One of the reasons has to do with FSG and spending power.
The writing may well have been on the wall for a while but what a rebuild job done in such a short space of time; the entire opposite of leaving a club in a state it’s just commendable by our beloved.

29th January 2024 at 4:42 pm #212310Nil… maybe, just maybe, Kloop is simply knackered like he says he his. Why does there have to be more to the story?

29th January 2024 at 5:35 pm #212311Chucks, for what it’s worth, looking at Klopp now to when he first came on the scene, this job has aged him. He was a lot more youthful and playful. I think more than anything, his face showed resignation last season so if anything that would have been in nature a time to resign.
But he loves Liverpool deeply and has given everything to recharge and rebuild them. I am actually staggered how quickly players have gelled or just found their way like they have been playing for the club for a long time.
I know if you map out over his tenure a list of transactions, he has had money to spend, but I believe with FSG, it’s more strictness than freedom. I just think that may be one of the reasons why he’s chosen to pull the plug.
He has pledged not to manage another PL club ever. It may well be taken at face value as he does come across genuine and honest. He needs time to reflect and away from the circuit.

29th January 2024 at 6:00 pm #2123129 years is 9 years man. I look very different to what I did when Klopp joined also.
Chucky, I do think it is him being knackered, but there are factors into what burns someone out and I think the City situation is a big part of it. He has surely had a few seasons where he’s wondering wtf he has to do to win the PL. 97 and 91 points, was it?Not gonna give out about it now, as there will be plenty of time for it, just think it’s a factor.
I just hope that we make one last big push because I think there is at least a very large chance that we’ll have years of very little after this. Of course we might hit the ground running on a new project but even Van Dijk has halted contract discussions until a new manager is appointed. That’s the start of it.Klopp is such a massive name in this world that him leaving could set us back to pre-FSG times.

29th January 2024 at 10:05 pm #212314Mak, I get that mate. I didn’t put that out to be unkind, it was more about citing from what we see what the effect and the stress levels. It’s the hardest to keep up with Man City make no mistake. Thus the T-1000 tag.
They won’t let up and the problem is for any chasing team is that they can’t afford many slip ups as the Gunners themselves learned last season.
I don’t think Klopp has been the same in some ways since Covid. He lost his Mother very sadly in 2021. The problem in this job is that you are constantly on the wheel. There really isn’t a break away as you’re on I believe a continuous itinerary.
Naturally too there are expectations to try and deliver season after season after season. I just hope the guy leaves us with one final happy memory of just being happy, win lose or draw.
