I stand by what I said at the start of the season regarding Arsenal. I think they lack world class players up top to eek games out like Salah, Haaland, Kane, etc. All they did in the summer was to make themselves a bit more solid and polished here and there. But it wasn’t enough to take them up to the final level for me.

Chelsea were disappointing. There isn’t much cohesion but not surprising considering all the changes. Arsenal fought well but were allowed back into the game by poor goalkeeping
Not much else to say except bad substitutions by Poch. Cost the game taking the two best attackers off._____________________________

Chelsea were excellent and were in absolutely no trouble until Sanchez gifted them a goal. Chelsea threw it away but FairPlay to Arsenal who fought until the end

Hey Adlab, yeah all good thanks. Just been a bit busier than usual recently and not had much football to care about with the International break. Hope you’re well.
Utd pretty poor again. City could tear us apart next weekend. Fingers crossed the ownership situation gets resolved quickly which is very much the priority for Utd fans at the moment. Fortunately, looks unlikely we’ll be state owned which I’m so please about. That prospect has been like a cloud hanging over the club, in my opinion.

Adlab, not sure mate. There could be similar trends in the past where the newly promoted teams just haven’t taken off. I may be wrong, but for Luton, there’s 2 jumps in succession from League one. They can’t be too disappointment and they’ve already achieved what their supporters probably thought they would.
Things can change; still sort of early days. However if there was another 8 or 9 games with minimal points registered then there would be cause for concern for the examples of Sheff United, Burnley and Luton.

I knew Villa would win comprehensively today. They have been different gravy at home and posing with lots of goals. I’m made up for Unai as I like him and he’s getting something out of players like McGinn, Cash, Douglas Luiz. Even Konsa in defense plays with confidence. Only 2 points behind league leaders Man City and there’s no reason why they can’t aspire for a Top 4 finish.

I have to say that was an entertaining first half. Fulham have competed so far tonight, but just haven’t been getting the breaks in that final third.
Son playing as a spear head oh my goodness is somebody special with that special finish and deserved.
Spurs caused Fulham quite a few problems with their interchanging in and around the box. Ref generally has had a good game and it’s been flowing.

The workrate of the Spurs front four is phenomenal. I can’t believe that they kept that high press up all game! Got them both goals but it will be interesting how tired those players get over the course of the season if they intend to play that way all the time.
