Utd will have turned a corner when they are challenging for the big trophies again as that’s what a club that size should be doing

To be fair it was Utd’s 4th away game in 9 days. Perhaps turn a corner wasn’t the best phrase, but at the same time in recent weeks it did seem there was still something in the dressing room. I mean obviously the new signings, along with the youngsters have helped freshen things up somewhat. But what I think Man Utd lack generally is a strong identity and philosophy that would help them become more consistent. I think before the Liverpool game for example, Solksjaer publicly admitted they might have a better chance as Utd tended to be better against very open sides (and struggled vs defensive ones) which was a huge acknowledgement of weakness and something a Man Utd manager should never admit.

For what’s worth, I thought the Villa goai/VAR was uncallable, too many players in close proximity to each, absolutely no way to tell, thought Booby was onside looking at knees/ankles etc.. but it turns out his armpit was offside, thought Mane should have had a peno considering the current absurd rules in place, despite him having more chance of winning the lottery than scoring a goal at the moment the very minimal contact was made (acting like a tart didn’t help either!)
But it’s Liberoools… so I’m not that bovvered!! 🙂

Almost reminds of Benitez when he used to make some bizarre rotations but just expect it to work fine. Our usual midfield usually struggles away anyway in these kinds of away games, particularly in terms of creativity. Not surprised in the slightest we’re struggling today.

Don’t know what you mean Micky, the first VAR, nobody had a clue as there were about 8 players in a 3 yard area, don’t think anybody could really tell anything… if Son’s armpit hair can be offisde against Leicester, then I have no problem with Booby’s armpit hair being offside today (both were ridiculous calls), and I did say Mane should have had a peno under the current ridiculous rules about contact=peno…
My other comment? Why on earth would I be sulking about calls not going Liberools way? 🙂
