Wasn’t it a shot from point blank range from Gerrard, tbh I thought it hit the top of his foot then bounced up and hit his arm. But its the issue is the same. Why was there pressure from above? What good does it do?? Nothing.

Goat, most matches on TV have a moment where one of the commentators calls penalty, then gets a replay and will either say not sure or definitely not.

I can see where your coming from about refs seemingly going unpunished, if you’ve got the best refs out there and then you start suspending them, then you have not the best refs out there.

It’s a tricky situation, as a lot of goals come from free kicks, penalties, quick breaks following a tackle and situations where there may be an offside. So obviously these are examined in detail by the media, and any mistake will be highlighted and dissectedwith relish.

But if you take the 90 minutes as a whole, we’re talking about one sometimes two incidents, which in a contact sport that moves at the pace it does over the area it covers isn’t really that bad…..Pagan
