Cech retires!

Petr Cech has announced he will retire at the end of the Season.

A Chelsea legend who has won everything love to see him back at the Club coaching the Chelsea Keepers.

24 – @PetrCech kept 24 clean sheets for @ChelseaFC during the 2004-05 @premierleague campaign – the most any goalkeeper has kept in a single season in the competition. Safe.

Good fucking riddance,as far as Arse are concerned,of course.They will never be a force again for as long as dinosaurs like Cech,Monreal,Koscielny,Lichsteiner,Wellbeck,Mikhy are still playing.Can see Ozil let go too,if not now then in the summer.

Brilliant keeper for Chelsea. How good was he? Top 10 in the PL? Top 5? He’s definitely a contender for top 5 but there have been so many top keepers over the years. Great professional and great keeper.

Been stealing a living the past 5-6 years or so,like so many others in the PL.Cannot believe managers dont see that,we @ United have the likes of Young,Valencia,Rojo,Jones,Darmian,Fellaini,Mata,Sanchez-players that shouldnt be anywhere near a major club.AW really has damaged Arsenal,big time!

He was fantastic at Chelsea, but moving to Arsenal wasn’t the best of moves. It’s harder to shine with that defence in front of you.

But when he was at Chelsea, he was one of the world’s best keepers. Definitly a Chelsea and PL legend.

Mav, but Cech’s not playing Leno is and the Arsenal defence is just as flakey. Whether Chelsea’s powder puff attack can make any impact on it is of course completely another matter.?

In the top 5 PL Keepers imo Ed no PL Keeper has won more than Cech. Brilliant Keeper at Chelsea but in the twilight of his career at Arsenal. Still better than Leno though imo despite his age.

I liked the Chelsea team a lot in 04/05, especially Cech. He was what is now Allison to me now for the Reds.

It was a very fortunate turn of events on what happened with Stephen Hunt back in 2006 ala Reading that forced Cech to have to play in head-gear, but this guy soldiered on and even tried his best for the Gunners.

A testament to his playing position and will be missed.
