I realise I may have steered the other thread in another direction, so I thought why not just create a whole new one where we discuss the strongest composition of players who have never won a PL title.
My only offerings early on are Matt Le Tissier and Steven Gerrard, so far. I think they are good ones though. So, away we go lads :

15th January 2020 at 11:29 pm #60663AnonymousI don’t remember Hoddle as a player myself, we’ll have to see what others say there TBH. The thing is though, what on earth am I thinking leaving Suarez out? Surely he walks into the team?
See, this is difficult for me because most of the really great players have been in sides that have won the PL and I have the worst memory. So, will this mostly be a Liverpool and Spurs combo? God what an atrocity that would be 😛

15th January 2020 at 11:41 pm #60664Torres, almost a different player at Liverpool & Chelsea. Suarez perhaps a better allrounder, but at Liverpool, I think Torres was one of the best out and out no.9s I’ve ever seen. Rapid and devastating.

16th January 2020 at 12:00 am #60668AnonymousIt’s coming together now.
Scary to think Zola never did it. So, Ferdinand, Hyypia, Desailly. Who misses out? Is it gonna be Sammi?
Macmanaman must make this team, he was incredible and in my opinion, under-rated by many Liverpool fans. There’s actually no place for Fowler (sorry, Suarez was better… I hate to admit it but come on, not even a comparison).
I’ll never come up with non-Liverpool names without consulting the net.
Alonso, Gerrard for the centre?

16th January 2020 at 2:53 am #60671AnonymousThanks but a list without Zola, is no list. Nice to see Alonso included and even Mascherano, however I feel with him, it’s that he’s more recent. Macca should be on that list . Bale? Fantastic player but most of his career was been at Real now. I think Macca takes him if Im honest.. but I rate him extremely highly. I get that most wont agree.

16th January 2020 at 2:57 am #60672AnonymousAlso, Torres was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE.. but Suarez was on another level altogether. I watched them both play week in and out. Suarez for me is the best player to ever play for Liverpool. Is he better than Liverpool players now? Maybe not but in the prime of his life he was here and there’s no match for him. Not Salah, not Mane. Suarez was godlike.
I’m going to get absolutely destroyed for this opinion here. So lads, before you do so, it’s just my thoughts.
Apologies also for being up too late for Nil’s tax return hours.

16th January 2020 at 1:41 pm #60740Anonymousbale is technically one of the best players to play in the premier league. yes, he was only peak bale at spurs for a season but he was still stupidly good in the premier league. I personally would have him. I used to love watching Juninho but think he falls short of the best XI.
