I trust tbey will ‘throw away the keys’.
Different era, different people but our club. I hope we are able to compensate victims in some way. I suspect these sorts of people are still around in other clubs and other walks of life.

40 years ago or whenever, nobody took any notice of this type of thing. It “didnt happen”.
I hope this person will be dealt with under the law and given the maximum possible.

Whatever happens to Bennell now, happens, he’ll get sorted one way or another inside.

More importantly it needs never to happen again, the CRB checks and training go some way, but clubs need a way of empowering these kids, at all levels of the game so not matter how young or vulnerable they are they need know it’s not their fault, their voice will be heard and something will be done….Pagan

Unfortunately I doubt this was just limited to City and Crewe.  City and Crewe shouldn’t be singled out.

id place a bet that probably every club has a character like this somewhere in their past that they turned a blind eye to or quietly moved on to another club

its a problem in football generally, not just those clubs
