After all the talk about Spurs being in the title race recently, if they were to lose at Chelsea I wonder if they’ll be looking over their shoulder at Arsenal and Utd. A loss at Chelsea with Arsenal, Chelsea and Utd winning their games has the gap down to 4/5 points.

24th February 2019 at 7:23 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34258Feel for Sarri though because until that point he really looked like he’d got the players playing for him and he’d actually found a way to be hard to beat again.

24th February 2019 at 7:21 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34257Surely either Kepa or Sarri is gone now. Will be interesting to see which. Chelsea have a real chance to make a statement now by backing Sarri and letting him freeze out Kepa for a disgraceful lack of professionalism.

24th February 2019 at 6:33 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34228How on earth can there be 9000 seats at a cup final?! Not a dig at either club. Just an odd sight to see at a Wembley cup final

24th February 2019 at 4:00 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34179Disappointing match that. Reminded me a lot of Liv vs City at Annfield earlier in the season. Real lack of chances. Utd struggled badly with those injuries and Rashford picking up that knock. He wasn’t himself at all after that

24th February 2019 at 3:40 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34167Harry Kane is probably the best striker in the world but he’s disappeared against us on a number of occasions even up against the likes of Jones and Smalling. That doesn’t make him a poor player.

24th February 2019 at 3:38 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34166Hang on, I never said he was our best player that day. I just said he was brilliant in those 3 big games. You questioned one of those, in which he happened to have played what some believe to be the pass of the season and where he in most pundits’ eyes played better than every single Spurs player. His stats are brilliant this year. So he doesn’t get MOTM every game? That’s hardly a fair critique. I’ve been his biggest critic previously but there isn’t a midfielder in the league performing better at the moment

24th February 2019 at 3:21 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34158Chucky, his pass to Rashford won the game. According to the first player ratings I could find he was ranked higher than every Spurs player

24th February 2019 at 3:16 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34155I think Pogba has struggled today without Matic and Herrera. Meaning he can’t play as free as he’s been doing recently

24th February 2019 at 3:12 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34153Big save from Alisson on Lingard and credit to Lingard for staying on his feet. So many go down in that scenario but he’s really tried to stay on his feet there

24th February 2019 at 2:59 pm in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34146Terrible luck with all those injuries. We’ll do well to get a draw here. Our biggest goal threat in Rashford limping around too. No chance of getting 3 points here. It was hard enough at full strength.

24th February 2019 at 8:54 am in reply to: BIG Weekend Footy – Man United V Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City #34084Yeah Everton are poor and never turn up against Liverpool so if they get through today, as I suspect, they’re in with a real chance of continuing with that lead of City going into that final 10 game stretch.
Out of interest, what would people’s combined Utd Liv XI be? Aside from DDG, Pogba and Rashford, I think it would be all Liverpool players if I’m honest. Rashford just edges out Firmino IMO, especially on current form. Pogba has to be in there somewhere and DDG is a still the more reliable of the two keepers.
