Maybe, maybe not (and I say not!), Nepolean, doesn’t make them peno’s one little bit though… and yeah, my team does it too… still sucks and makes a mockery of the game itself.
Too easy to get peno’s now, players are actually playing for them rather than trying to score goals which is what the game is meant to be about.

Threeps, Im surprised that you thought the Alisson incident was a penalty. I was never particularly worried that VAR would do anything about it and I think the replays show that it just wasnt. Alissons gets a hand on the ball. He had a poor game though and it’s lucky that he wasn’t needed, or maybe the fact that he had nothing to do for so long didnt help him.
Salah’s one is a stonewall peno. If there is argument about that, I am not even interested.
Salah should have shot though later on, instead of trying to pass to Mane.
Overall, we were very dominant and deserved the win. The final ball today was not fantastic but we earned every point.

Would need to see it again Mak but my first thought was he got a hand to the ball but then brought down Ings when he could have made something from it. Two independent actions in which getting to the ball doesn’t make him immune to a foul further on.

Yeah I can’t say I’m surprised that it’s still 0-0. Said it when Rangnick came in that the massive shift in style was not going to produce anything vastly different overnight. The main thing so far is that we’ve become much tighter at the back and not conceding as much. That was always where the work needed to start.

I saw this in real time and thought it was a pen but, for me, Mings is clipped first, sending him into Salah. Been some very questionable calls today.

Ed, from that angle, Im inclined to agree with you. The thing Salah has done there, is gain possession of the ball. after that point… it is always going to be a problem.
He is definitely looking for it though, which im not a massive fan of.

Norwich unfortunate to come away with nothing there. Dean Smith has had a good start there and really got them organised. Some great saves by De Gea again.

Just seen the rudiger pen and yeah it’s very soft. The delayed reaction to it makes it seem worse. One of those you defend if its for your team but annoyed if its against.

My god! How much did Chelsea pay the ref for that??? Shocking calls against Leeds there! Rudiger trying to overturn his hardman image by being an absolutely soft diver now, is he?
The Salah pen I’m ok with although still soft. He gets front position and then does a Vardy where you step in front of the defender to shield them from getting the ball and hopefully gets clipped. Clever if anything. Villa should have got their own pen though, seen that replay 3 times and from all the pens I’ve seen today it’s right up there as one._____________________________
