Two years have been compounded by 14 years of mismanagement from the Tories, albeit the short time Sunak was in power and bringing down inflation.

Cost of living hasn’t changed since the Ukraine War. It’s gotten worse.

My sadness really is the high street and communities of many cities remaining in decline; multiple vape shops, barbers, discount stores. Nobody wants that regardless of the shift in change for more than a decade in Online Shopping.

That’s a fundamental problem, the Business Rates. On top of that energy costs and the costs in hiring employees. Sadly, they are forced to shut down and we end up with what we have in front of us. Lots of listed buildings that remain untouched being boarded up.

Only attracts the nasties and the ugliness like drug dealers, people vandalizing the place and dirtying the streets. People don’t feel safe.

Many listed buildings in my area are being turned into flats. Some developers just leave them, in my opinion they are hoping they fall to the ground so they can start from scratch, because you can’t change the outside of listed buildings.
