Cheers threeps, thats a bit disappointing as hes been in the rumour mill of late.
Also looks like diomande will be heading to psg if the price is right as he has stated his love for them and his “fathers” love for psg!

4th June 2026 at 2:37 pm #248054This is from the ITK I trust regarding Diomande.
“Magnes Akilouche is in advanced talks with PSG.
Campos originally baulked at the costs associated for Diomande and turned to other options, leaving the door open for Liverpool to get a deal done.
Agency disputes and image right issues are a couple of the complexities in this transfer.
Not a straightforward deal.
If PSG decide to enter the race, they will cut the cord on Akilouche, and it could likely see one of Barcola or Mbaye leave.
I still believe Liverpool can and will conclude the transfer. We are working very hard on it and have been for some time.”

4th June 2026 at 2:42 pm #248055How does a thick as mince forward help our attacking game (which needs a lot of help)?
Ah! Chaos. That’s right!
Let’s ignore his poor first touch/ink up play, plethora of avoidable offsides a game and missing from a yard out.
Chaos.

4th June 2026 at 5:45 pm #248058Asian relax, you have to be able to take dirt if you wanna lay it out.
The next news I can see happening are in regards to Salah, I bet Iraola will have already talked to him by now, it would be one of the first things I would do.
Regarding Diomande I think we need to tie him up before the World Cup, PSG have had a very strict transfer policy since Enrique took over there. If that story continues I am afraid he will go to Paris as they do not talk to players that are interested in another move.
I don´t know what Salah will decide but that meeting between him and Iraola is bound to happen, hopefully he just stays.

4th June 2026 at 7:19 pm #248064These reports might also just be pure speculation, or just his father getting the word out there is demand from other clubs to raise his contract a bit. I doubt he would not get the same opportunity at PSG, they would need to sell someone else from their lineup to make space for Diomande so I doubt it is true. Like I don´t believe we are in for Barcola as he simple is out of reach. Like why would anyone of their frontline wanna leave the club when they can actually make it 3 seasons in a row and I don´t think Diomande wants a move without being guaranteed a starting position. Enrique fully trusts his lineup, I don´t know where he can actually find a player in the market right now to make his team better. I would have one suggestion and it would Raya as a goalkeeper.
Diomande should start around 75% of our games, I doubt he would see more than 35% starts with PSG. I hope we get him done before the World Cup, it would be nice to get morale up before the World Cup. He would be the kind of signing that states that we mean business but I don´t think we are gonna see the massive window I expected under Slot. We might get up to 300 million spent instead of 400+

4th June 2026 at 8:32 pm #248069Threeps, with Isak getting injured, we would have to rely on him week in and week out.
Live him for his chaos and enthusiasm, but missing chances and offsides. Not so much. Just a tiny bit of composure and I would take him.
I would rather take Ivan Toney.

4th June 2026 at 9:18 pm #248074That’s only true if you assume Isak gets a significant injury which neither you or I can predict. If Isak stays fit, Núñez isn’t being signed to start every week, he’s being signed as depth. Any backup striker looks a lot worse when you immediately promote them to ‘starting every game because the first choice is injured’. By that logic we’d need a £60m+ striker on the bench in case Isak gets injured, which isn’t realistic.

4th June 2026 at 9:19 pm #248075I’d take Nunez over Gakpo on anyday, both as a striker and out on the left where I actually think Nunez creates the most damage. His physical abilities will overwhelm 75% of the fullbacks in the league. He disappointed Infront of the goal but always had a assist in him. At worst he created the opening by sheer work rate. He can run at defenders at speed, he can dribble as well. He is s clutch player IMHO

4th June 2026 at 9:27 pm #248076I actually think he’s poor, and absolutely dreadful on the left. No way is he a good dribbler, he can knock it past and run, in tight areas he is ineffective. But for back up until Ekitike is fit again he’s probably better than many other options if he accepted a reduced role and subsequent wage.
Looks like Diomande will be wrapped up soon.

4th June 2026 at 9:41 pm #248077I think there are better options than Nunez as backup striker. Toney being one. Hughes should know even better.

4th June 2026 at 9:51 pm #2480783ps you lads always considered him to be a prolific striker for us, I think I was the only one who rated him more on the left, the stats are even there to prove it but it was his gameplay there that convinced me. He occupied so much space there on the left, who ever was upfront or on the right could easily run behind the line with him occupying all that space. Having said that I still only consider him as a useful squad player. He should have been getting the game time he got in the end, he was lethal when he played. Won us so many games, like a way better version of Origi. Forget the price tag.

4th June 2026 at 10:40 pm #248088Dont think anyone ever considered him prolific, especially me. I was probably the most vocal against his signing when we had idiots saying he would outscore Haaland. I knew he wasnt the level we needed as the main striker from before we signed him.
Bingo we must have different memories, he was shite on the left, even worse than down the middle. The only advantage is he was less offside from there, but all he can do is run in a straight line. No Idea what you mean by occupy so much space.
Do I think we should resign him? No, but I’d put him above many other options. I think we shouldn’t sign anyone for back up just because Ekitike is out, Iraola needs to manage with what he has, or maybe more importantly what he will have.
Ivan Toney has 2 years left on his 425k a week contract, which I think puts him as the highest paid English player just above Kane. Except Toney’s are tax free!

4th June 2026 at 10:57 pm #248089You all had hopes for it, first season I expected him to have 15-20 goals while you lads thought he was another Haaland. With 35-40 goals a season. Then again the next season when I told you to expect another 15-20 goals again you still expected 35-40 goals and then in his third season when I again told you to expect 15-20 goals you still expected 35-40 goals from him.

5th June 2026 at 3:52 am #248094No we need a forward that can supply 15-20 goals per season for the next 5 years. He would be a serious step down despite being quite talented. He is not world class and that is what we need
