Sorry Nil but I completely disagree with you mate. it really wasn’t the media who were forcing him to put his foot in his mouth time and time again. Now, I am a big fan of him, as he gave me one of my favourite ever seasons as a Liverpool supporter and I also believe that he’s a decent, genuine man who had nothing but good intentions. That doesn’t change the fact that he just doesn’t have any cop on when interacting with the media. He would blow his own trumpet a bit too much amongst other things.

As i said above, I give him some credit for helping Suarez to reach his true potential.. and that was something else. Suarez for me was the most talented striker we’ve ever had at the club (that I’ve observed). That’s a huge statement and I know people will disagree and that is their right. This is only my opinion. What I said about Rodgers not having the tact to deal with the media is much closer to fact though.

I will add that although I’m not a “second team” kind of person, I will be routing for Rodgers at Leicester. I’m really excited to see how he does. i don’t think anything is a lock in, the points Mikus brought up are legitimate but my guess is that he’ll be a success there.
