Chucky McChuckface
ParticipantI’ll start it now, I’m sure we’ll need it in a week or two anyway…
Don’t want the virus of a man at my club. Don’t care how good he’s CV is, don’t care about the potential for maybe a couple of little pots over the next 18 months, really don’t care for the inevitable mushroom cloud that will appear in about 24 months.
Levy, you numpty, what have you done???

ParticipantOn a vaguely amusing and somewhat connected to Maureengate, I never knew how many friends I have who must have obviously thought I don’t have internet access and are being very “helpful” in sharing the news…

ModeratorMight have been better to sack Levy he got Spurs into the mess that ended up with Pochettino’s sacking.
There will be a honeymoon period but Jose will get frustrated when he can’t do the deals he wants to do because Levy can’t provide him with the funds he wants after an initial transfer flurry. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jose try and sell Kane to raise funds with Tony Parrott in the wings.
Two years in which Spurs might well win a Cup of two by which time Jose will have significantly fallen out with Levy. Levy and Jose is an accident waiting to happen.

Participantwell well well! im very surprised by that, so much for the recent chat and supporting Poch, and now the virus moves across london via Manchester…does he have a house or will it be back to living in a hotel?!
interesting times ahead, and im very amused! i think they will get the pain without even winning a trophy 🙂

ParticipantStevo Jose lives in London mate so has his house!
Absolutely ridiculous appointment. Spurs fans don’t want him in.
His spell at utd and Chelsea ended dreadfully. He be back moaning again. Full football etc. Was hoping we would never see him back in the pl again
Levy really has come of all this looking like a right twat.

KeymasterThey’ve swapped a manager who has never won anything at any of his clubs for a manager who has never failed to win trophies at any of his clubs. If it ends in tears in 3 years but Spurs finally have some silverware to show for it, then it’s mission accomplished for Levy.

Participantyou say about negative football, but he has in the past also played some of the most exciting football…and spuds do have a vaunted attack fo their own at present…so it might not be dire football….of course i somewhat hope its very Dire and the shiny new spaceship rings aloud with Boo’s of every backwards and sideways pass as he makes Sir Harry track back and take a stint in goal too 😉

ModeratorHe’s going from the frying pan to the fire, here,” Burley said of Mourinho on ESPN FC.
“He was at Man Utd and even though they had the money, he couldn’t get Ed Woodward to spend enough of it on the right players.
“Mourinho’s frustration as that he couldn’t reel in the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool without the funds.
Jose Mourinho has been out of management since being fired by Man Utd (Image: GETTY)
“Well guess what, the one criticism of Tottenham period has been that they haven’t spent the funds to match the big boys.“What’s the point? Maybe Jose Mourinho going in there and going ‘hey, it’s the new me. No complaining and I’m going to work with what I’ve got.’ [will fix the problem].
“Eeerm, not happening.” Craig Burley

KeymasterDidn’t Spurs almost get Dybala over the line? The money is there. I don’t think Levy had full faith in Poch after all his strange comments about leaving if they win the CL etc. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit to see Bale come in January. Bale and Matic, maybe? Typical Jose signings but maybe that’s what they need. Valencia to come in at RB?

Participant3 absolute crazy signings Ed. Magic? He’s been finished two seasons now mate
So spurs let Jose go back to his old methods of paying over the odds for players hitting their 30s?
You may we’ll be right but this is only ending one way in my opinion and I don’t think he will anything but …..
This is a real challenge for Jose. He’s coming into a club that’s 14th. They are not going to be able to spend like he did at Chelsea and utd.
This is his biggest challenge for me without a doubt and I think he’s far to stubborn to succeed

KeymasterI never said I thought they were good signings Sean! Bale could do a job there still though. I wouldn’t want him at my club but an injury free Bale is a dangerous prospect

ParticipantI think we have the cash, might not be in the Manc Clubs bracket, but the dosh is there. Can see us spending 200m (plus sales) easily over the next 2/3 transfer windows.
I can see Bale coming back too with Maureen no in charge, but hopefully not Matic or Valencia… but who know’s who else. Trying to be positive here, January will certainly be interesting for sure!
(But he’s still a plumsack!)
