This time next week, we’ll be able to share our thoughts on the first game that takes place on the 25. Few late ones scheduled in. Not too far away from August. We know of certain long-term individuals we won’t see but Leoni is definitely somebody I have set my sights on. Remember, no Konate, so we are looking potentially at a new Centre back partnership.

Btw I do not like Szobo for the vice captaincy, he got too much of a EGO for it, I would just go by longevity and hand the vice captaincy to Gomez. I actually think he is the best suited for the vice captain.

Yeah watch Jacquet instead, he is involved and I suspect he will take over from Konate but if we got a fit Gomez he should start. Everytime, he is one of the best defenders of his generation. Just injury prone. If he starts in 25 games this season in the league we could win it. I’m just worried about the rest of the games.

That’s a huge shame on Leoni. Gosh. Guess we’ll just have to wait and be patient.
Gomez if he remains with us sure will be needed. We need to be able to utilize our squad better and rotate in the right way (not over do it).
We won’t have at the moment choice because of players injured and Mo and Konate leaving us. We are a bit short.

Van Dijk and Gomez, I guess next in is Jacquet, then Leoni. The only thing I don´t wanna see is Gomez out on the right. I love the lad to bits but we all know he can not be carrying the ball or be putting crosses into the box. It´s not his game, he is a rock solid centerback though when fit.

Bingo, I’m encouraged by the prospect. Hopefully regular starts as well for Gomez. Iraola’s going to need to be able to count on some level of experience.
Even if these fellas are heading in the twilight of their careers, they are critical.
The others naturally are going to need time and allowance to be able to integrate so somebody there for them to be under their wing and work with will nurture them.
