I could be in the minority, but we could have gone in for Todd Cantwell.
Reluctantly, I’m in acceptance of sell-to-buy solely on the basis on those individuals unfortunately now good enough in ability to be involved long-term.
We should be thinking about a squad not a first 11. The answer has been starring at us in the face ever since Klopp took over and what the objectives he set.
Personally, I am not in one bit of agreement in the idea of selling Taki and Divy. Lallana and Coutinho never replaced. We’re also willing to let good potential go like Nico Williams. The board should be prepared to set aside Transfer funds knowing that football is cyclical and the squad time to time is going to be in need of an upgrade.

Cantwell has gone on loan to Bournemouth. He’s dropped down a diversion because he isn’t good enough. He was well thought of a couple of years ago but due to whatever reason he hasn’t kicked on so a relegation threatened side feel they can ship him off to the division below. He wouldn’t make our bench.
Why must we replace Coutinho and Lallana? Our team has progressed massively since those two left and even at their peak wouldn’t get past warming the bench.
I expect a lot of change in summer, maybe 2/3 of the forward line going and the midfield being revamped.
As Sean said, you don’t need to replace a player that never plays, just sell for everyone’s benefit.

Sean, I am absolutely thrilled on Diaz. I didn’t think we’d pull it off knowing our luck at times.
I appreciate some individual players will come and go. Some won’t always be selected and some will have itchy feet about staying on the bench.
What I am recognizing mate which I’m sure you know this already in your mind is that our first 11 can’t play 60 odd matches a term. They’ll be burnt out.
It’s a testament to the other guys outside the regulars that have helped book us a place in the Carabao Cup. Wonderful for young Liverpool fans mate who have never experienced a Wembley day out. I personally like having a good squad of players that can help us compete on 4 competitions.

I agree from a Business POV the sense to sell. What I would say is that we need a balance. We have experienced most recently injuries to our key players and plus Corona virus is still around. If we are to wanting to put up a fight against Man City, we need a good squad overall. Just my view.

The players we have to choose from when all fit is super encouraging. This part of the season is when we do kick on. Loads to look forward to as well so we just gotta keep it going and hopefully stay injury free.
Diaz is Power and one New Dimension for us.

Sean, something to fill you in mate in a sort of a lighthearted way; I’ve never changed lol 🙂 I blamed the wind and rain in a secondary school sports event.
I would have used this most definitely had we lost. Put all that to one side,
we had it tough. Got through though. Notably, what a mature team Klopp selected today.
We have more luxury now and can pick well for Inter Milan, basically Tweaking.
My work mate incidentally was saying we may sell either Mane or Firmino to raise funds…..

Absolutely hate this talk of a quadruple. The media coming out with sone shite. It’s impossible. We need to win 12 games to win the ok including city. It’s not going to happen. We can’t drop one point and have two very tricky games coming up
We keep getting results without playing great. We are doing brilliant. Really enjoying this season and watching us pplsy but quadruple talk is nonsense

Sean, I’m actually with you mate on this one. Gods Honest Truth I have never thought of the word Quadruple. For me (which is an 80s thing of being a Liverpool fan growing up), it was the League and a Cup. But we’re in a different climate and just one trophy even is bliss.
The Media ‘Busybody’ mate which in this day and age even more is an occupational hazard.
