Nil, one of the issues are that they use refs and officials from all over Europe, obviously individual leagues would see things differently so they have tried to introduce something for the CL where there is a certain threshold for handball. Apparently the threshold is quite low, and a lot lower than in the PL. If you are asking refs to use a threshold which is not their normal one then things will happen like last night, but every mistake is making VAR look to be more and more of a shambles.
I still think the officials don’t realise fans just want consistency.

Of course I’m lurking, you lot are highly amusing, brightens up my otherwise dull day…
Joking aside, they both looked very similair to me (whether you like it or not), both attacking players had nothing else going, saw a limb not stuck to a body, chipped it towards it… both instances were ball to hand, not hand to ball, both instances did not deny a clear goal scoring opportunity, both resulted in a free goal…

Great game. Utd finished much stronger at the end. They be kicking themselves as the opposition are terrible. They can’t defend. Utd should have buried them. Thought maguire was very good
That’s over 30 goals that keeper had conceded already this season. The wall for the 2nd goal is just desperate.

I feel for Onana. Another awful mistake from him which has potentially cost us not only the match but qualification to the next round too. His confidence seemed to have been recovering before last night.

Ed I think you missed the “s” off the end of mistake.1st and 3rd his positioning were dreadful, nowhere near what youd expect from a top keeper. This attribute is what separates great keepers from the rest and often why the best don’t make great YouTube highlight reels! They just are so often in the right place at the right time. Onana, well I’m not sure where he was covering for the first and third was starting too central and beaten at his near post.
Don’t think anything needs to be said about the 2nd, the media are having a field day.

His confidence had grew after the pen save v Copenhagen and he had made some very good saves but he conceded a far to many goals .
It’s still early days for him. Took de gea a while to find his feet. Utd really be kicking themselves as they were the much fitter team at the end and had some great chances. It was a great gane

Can’t disagree Threeps. I actually missed the first goal. Hate these early kickoffs but yeah you’re right. I still think he’ll come good, Onana. Utd seems to bea place where a keeper’s career is made or broken. De Gea came through it, as Sean said. Difficult to say if Onana will or not.

Really delighted for us tonight to top the group with a win. Enjoying this term actually being in Europa. Through to the last 16. Can field too a more weakened team in our next game. Back to the PL 🙂

Yeah Sean mate, that’s the one Klopp hasn’t won with us and I’d love him to win it.
Always hold memories of a younger Klopp and those facial expressions he used to make playfully. That was when we still had Lovren, Lallana, Lucas, and Sakho.
Plus, that Dortmund Semi-final. Thursday seem like for us now. Well happy for the Reds. Good luck the the other Brit teams in this as well. Not a bad comp 🙂
